Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

Mrs excel has just received a 5* points plus 5c/l discount at bp one week offer from Qantas. She hasn't earned points via bp for months, if not years because we have been using my account.
Got new offers here as well but 10x on 3 specific items. It was after I decided to use my card after a few years so maybe some activity is required before getting some offers showing up.

I got that one as well and I'm in the same category as Mrs Excel - I haven't earned points from BP so potentially just dormant BP accounts
Received as well. I have not used BP since 2023 ... Generally 10¢ per litre more and nearest is 5Km further than surrounding places.

Curious that it's not from bp directly - I suspect Qantas might be funding some incentives alongside the SC promos to try to demonstrate to BP the value of the partnership; perhaps the contract is up for renewal soon...

I wonder if it will be sent more widely or just to dormant accounts. This offer would maybe generate 400-450 points if filling up with the ultimate petrol, and would probably still need one more carrot to get comfortably to the 1000.
Both here received the email @exceladdict
We use BP frequently as it's only 500 metres from us, so not only dormant accounts.

I am surprised that my wife got it for her account, she has a 72km round trip to work and whilst our local BP is way overpriced, the one on the freeway is always the best you'll find and sits between two regions which are always much more expensive locally - so she's been earning plenty of BP rewards points as it is buying the cheapest fuel on offer

I got it first and like everyone else figured it was because I never use BP, given I drive an EV. About an hour later it arrived for her account, so happy days, looks like she'll be getting 10 SC out of it.

Discount petrol stations have seriously "corrupted" the local fuel market (400 km from Perth)
If limited to an extra 2 or 3 cents a liter on 98RON, then the local BP will get my business.
Especially if there are bonus offers being activated as well.
Then again when the margin randomly expands to 6 cents, the discounters win.
Well maybe not for 5x points :)
More points for upgrades/wandering

Originally, I was wondering how to pump 1000L (or 500L on Ultimate unleaded) in 3 months - I guess this is the answer.

Didn't get the email, but it does appear way down in the 'my offers' section when accessing account via laptop.

Is there a way to grab screenshot that includes my QFF number?

Just filled up at BP and there is a trap for the unwary - the terminal comes up with a question whether you want to accept the $$$ discount - lady at the register said numerous people today already pressed 'cancel' automatically like you do when you don't want to redeem points. She was warning them but they were often too quick.

The fine print notes also that the offer is limited to the first transaction in the offer period.

cheers skip

That might be why it asked - I certainly missed that fine print but it sounds like the woolworths/coles discounts - hit no unless it's your big shop fill up for the month week.

I also saw the 5c discount on the BP rewards website.

Reading them together it seems

- 5x points is the first transaction this week
- 5c discount is for the whole week (6/10-12/10)

So do we have to press yes for 5c discount then no for points redemption?

Filled up today, have my QFF linked to BP ( this is required) - no discount or extra points 🤷‍♀️
Yeah I had some 10x point promo with BP not post as well recently. Unfortunately life too short to hassle them for 500~ points. Just blacklist them though 🤣 and drive on to another fuel provider is the only way.

Same with the AGL 6c offer. Always thought it odd I had to select “Yes” for cheaper fuel.

My understanding is you have to hit cancel if you want to use motor pass to pay. But yeah, I had trained myself to always hit cancel so I don't accidentally redeem points as that's what it used to be for!

So do we have to press yes for 5c discount then no for points redemption?
With the AGL discount, you hit yes for discount and then it doesn't ask you if you want to redeem points. I assume it won't try to do both

Even with 50L (maybe 30L) this week, I will still be struggling with the other 500 points! But I expect there'll be another offer.

Now just need to work out whether the 26c/L extra cost is worth it. Without the promo offer, 0.26 X 500 litres = $130 or $13/SC...
