Well, I won't be getting the SCs via home insurance - $500 more expensive than my comparison current policy with as close to like for like as possible.

My only complaint is the timing, my year end is Jan and I've already sorted out requalification so the thank you SC and this initiative aren't really helpful. At least this one counts to LSC

Having requalified already I looked at the offer, said "yeah, whatever" and will do the usual spending.

This will trawl me 30 SCs (food and cards) toward LTP.

It does make a difference. On my reckoning I can reach LTP on spend alone if QF offers this bonus every month for the next 80 years.

Can we ask about age discrimination?
Travel insurance is "difficult" past age 70 (75? 80?) even if you still want to be wandering

Isn’t there “just” an extra premium charge?

Question is whether that is worth it for the SCs v others? Could be, since they’re probably charging similar (most of the retail TI providers are underwritten by a very small number of insurance companies)?

Yes, my thought as well - if you're buying it for the TI with a serve of SCs thrown in, then it would be fairly universal would it not? If you were buying it just for the SCs and not the TI, just tell them you're 21 - it would only be an issue if you went to claim. There's definitely better options (see Shopping category for example) for getting SCs without spending unnecessarily.

Is it just me, but Everyday Rewards now credits to the shopping category? The switch over seems to have happened between late August and early September. 🤔

Guess I'll order a case of wine to check 'the Food & Wine' box... and 10 more SCs just like that 🫠

I'd be disappointed if it does, was thinking the shopping might be easier to complete if it came under food. Don't drink, and don't really want to take out a youfoodz or hellofresh sub.

Bummer. Switched over home and contents insurance a couple of months ago, paying annually. Had the 30k bonus points land about a week ago too which would have done it. So will miss the SCs in that category but should be able to pick up in credit card and food & wine without additional effort.

Will have to look again at my forecast for next year because with this, the loyalty bonus and an unforeseen last minute flight change, I have an extra 220 SCs than initially planned. See if that moves the needle at all to determine if it is worth pursuing the rest of this promo.

One of their interns must have involuntarily 'enhanced' their IT system. Despite all the T&Cs saying otherwise, QF contact centre is going to have fun dealing with this mess.
