Earn points on Bank Transfers

Can I ask y'all what type of transfers youse are doing with these large sums? I'm wary of doing transfers to my mortgage or wife and getting flagged.

I think Citi said that using Payall to pay off other debts is not strictly forbidden but it shouldn't be used for it. I'm not sure which categories Citi looks out for when doing this.

I can only transfer maximum of $9500 each time for my $10000 credit limit. Then there is a monthly limit of $35000 to consider.

But the points are definitely coming thick and fast, which is good :)
Does that mean, if you transferred $10000 within a month. You pay that amount on your credit card. You can then transfer another $25000 within same month?

I do transfer weekly to bank account, and BPay it back as soon as the money into my bank account. Up to $35000 per month.
Do you know if the "Remarks" field is equivalent to the Statement Reference?

Looking to make some payments to the ATO and want to make sure the payment reference number is visible to them.

Thanks in advance

What's the point earn rate on citi premier? is it 1point/dollar for all transactions now? Does this mean pay all transaction will earn this rate?

1 Citi Rewards point per dollar on PayAll, which is 0.5 QFF points. 2 Citi Rewards points when online transactions are made with the card.

I had been doing transfers to a bank account in my own name. Tried to process another transfer this morning, and received an error message saying the T&Cs do not allow transfers to yourself. Changed the name on the transfer from 'First Last' to First L' and we were back in business. ;)

Just received this e-mail a few minutes ago.

For all Citi PayAll payments set up between 1 April 2021 to 31 October 2022 (the Period), the Citi PayAll fee will be reduced to 0%:

From 17 October 2021 a new monthly limit will apply whereby the aggregate sum of Citi PayAll payments within the calendar month must not exceed your credit limit or $35,000 (whichever is lesser).

Did NAB agree to having the promotion extended and giving out points for longer?

I guess some people been abusing this promo, so they are now introducing a $35000 per month limit

I thought the $35k limit was already in place, but the new rule is that it’s the lower of that limit or your credit limit.

Yep got the email as well. Although I have never been close to the $15000 credit limit anyway. Still a great feature for 0.5 QFF per dollar though.

I saw the extension till next year and was excited but then I read the change to the max per month and that killed it. My limit is only small - $6,000 - so not worth bothering with. I was cancelling my card at the end of the original fee-free period anyway so no big deal.

Great ...Oct 2022. After all the reductions we've had on the card- this alone should help us bank points for future use. Citi products surely work in a binary sense - either very attractive or completely useless

I think it would be worth hanging onto the Citi Premier until the first year is up now (I have the reduced first year fee version, not the free for life version). They also have a lot of other discounts as well. Pretty good considering the changes in the market the past few years.

I have been using this for paying strata for example, but the minimum time delay also makes it useless.

For example, today is Friday, and I have my cleaner coming in next Friday, so I just tried to schedule a PayAll, but the earliest pay date is the Monday after next week, meaning I cannot use this PayAll feature.

I cannot use this to pay for gardening lawn mowing, cannot use this to pay for cleaner, cannot use this to pay for buying junk on Gumtree, etc

Well .....It's probably a bit of a hassle if you have actual spend to make at certain deadlines. For manufactured spend - its a godsend

All of us with the free for life had a min $15K limit.
