Is this a good deal?

OnePass members get 5x Flybuys points for every $1 spent in-store at Kmart, Target, Bunnings Warehouse and Officeworks.

And, if you like shopping online at Catch, you’ll get an alternative offer, collecting 2 points per $2 spent.

You need to have an active OnePass plan and link your Flybuys account. It costs $4/month or $40/year for a OnePass subscription and you also get free delivery on eligible online orders. (Note that the 5x Flybuys points is only on in-store purchases.)

There's also an option to bundle this with a Disney+ subscription for $14.99/month.

Signed up for a trial of Onepass, turns out many things on Bunnings can't actually be shipped using the Onepass thing so.. basically a waste of time (for my purposes)

Math is that you need to spend $2000 annually at those retailers in store to break even purely on the 5x points part.

I do that quite comfortably so I am not too worried about the $40 outlay. I do think the lack of bonus points on online orders is silly, but seems to be the way for retailers now eg Woolworths with the everyday extra discounts, so I guess some numbers somewhere are telling them that this is what makes them money.

I've been with onepass for a year and I find it worthwhile purely from a convenience point of view. I can order things from target and Kmart for the kids without needing to go to the shops or spend enough for free shipping. The extra flybuys are just a bonus.

Onepass is currently on sale at $20 for 12 months.
Forget the bonus points, 2 free deliveries covers that. Signed up today and my first Bunnings order is on the way.

Also just be careful / watch out, a lot of items you can buy online and are marked for delivery, when you get to the checkout it will say ‘low stock / click and collect only’.

Retailers run stock as low as they can these days with JIT, found it quite annoying and relatively frequent occurrence with what I was buying so will cancel OnePass when it come up for renewal.

I will see how I go. I do find I often need just one or a few things from Bunnings or Officeworks (especially a single printer ink) that is not worth paying delivery for, so I end up making the trip instead. I expect $20 will be worth it.
Can you cancel now and "enjoy the benefits until..." like the streaming services allow? If so I might do it. They will probably have another sale in 12 months to sign up for $20 again.
