Early bag drop at Heathrow T5

Is it possible to drop my bag early at the First Wing check in at T5? I have a long layover travelling on separate tickets.

Thanks, I had seen this page but I wasn't sure why they mention Emerald for check in, but then only mention BA executive club status for bag drop starting at 5am.

I've used it before as BA Silver and Gold, but not as OWE. I think it will be fine, but if they have issues with it, there is a left baggage place at arrivals downstairs.
