Earliest SQ bag drop at SYD

Apologies if this is topic has been covered in an earlier post (I did try to look beforehand).

Its been a while since I have flown SQ.

I am travelling J SYD to SIN and need to bag drop early (don't ask why !)

I am aware that 3 hours before the flight is recommended. However, I am looking to do it earlier than that.

I do not have status with SQ (just in case anyone asks, but I don't think that makes a difference anyway).

What is the earliest time before the flight I can bag drop at SYD for SQ flights ?

Others can chip in - but AFAIK it's up to 48 hours before. We often fly SYD-SIN (overnight < 24 hours) - FRA and are able to check our bags all the way through to FRA from SYD.

I think 48 hours relates to check-in online.

Was more interested in bag drop i.e. dropping off checked baggage.

Let's see what others say - but I was referring to bag check (as well as online check-in). If not 48 then 24 hours prior.

Officially it is T-4hrs at SYD airport

But SQ operates several flights between SYD and SIN
If you are on a later flight, one possibility is to ask the checkin counter for the earlier SQ flights whether you can check in early

Alternatively just use the luggage storage in the P7 carpark or in the International arrivals floor

OLCI is T-48hrs - not sure if can bag drop earlier than physical check-in opens - I will be in MEL SKL F on Mon - if nobody can supply definitive answer b4 then I will get MEL staff to contact SYD staff and clarify for you. But as other post will require your flt# and date pls?

Big John would appear you are shoot out of luck with early BSB drop - MEL Station contacted SYD to clarify and was told bag drop only available post physical check-in opening

Do you mean early like 6am, or just a long time before the flight? Can you give a concrete set of times as an example?

Since SQ operates quite a few flights out of SYD throughout the day, I've never had trouble checking bags even 5-6 hours before the flight, and their earliest flight is quite early I think, so I'm not sure if the counter is ever even closed.

I have booked a 12:15 flight, but I see that there is also an earlier 9:15 flight.

Will do T-4hrs.

If I am not allowed to do this, I will just buy a coffee and read my newspaper (to kill an hour).
