Earliest QF check-in time

Hi,

Quick question, what is the earliest check-in time for QF International flights? I seem to remember it being around 3 or 4 hours???

It's 3 hours but sometimes they'll open it a little earlier. Don't try getting to the airport early though and expecting them to check you in, trust me they won't.

Exception is SIN where you can check in 24(?) hours prior.

Out of interest, is there a specific airport that you are enquiring about?

Hong Kong too - if using the in town check in (ITCI) facility of the Airport Express train.

The one I am enquiring about departs from SYD...

At the Departure airport - 3 hours before the scheduled flight departure.

If connecting (Say MEL-SYD-LAX), you check in for SYD-LAX when you get your BP's in MEL. Even if this is say 8 hours before ones SYD departure.

I have had F check-in agents in SYD "Open" airport check-in early and permit this 5 hours beforehand, but I was advise that this was possible as I had NO checked luggage. (They immediately closed check-in once I had my BP).
