E-ticket not confirmed when pre-ordering meals

Hi We have a flight on QF 35 this Saturday and now we have the option to pre-order our meals.
My husband is ok to do so but mine says that the e-ticket is not confirmed,therefore,I am not able to do so.
It is a classic award ticket RTW 280,000 J.
I’ve checked the ticket and all our flights are confirmed.
I’ve also had trouble selecting seats on Iberia,which has never happened.
Should I be worried???

I'd give them a call, avoid unexpected problems at the airport.

I agree. Call. It's probably something totally stupid in the PNR causing this but best to have it sorted now.

(as an aside having just flown 35/36 a few weeks ago iN F no pre-ordering was offered - it must just be in J which I find curious)

Yes it’s bizarre - never pre ordering in F, only J or lower. Have never understood it....

Perhaps the reason why. Because F and J have a shared menu, in theory F pax should always get their first choice. No need for them to pre-order.

There is a big difference between having a reservation and having a paid ticket. A reservation may allow you to choose seats and do all sort of other things. But without a ticket number the ticket is essentially not paid for and can cancel at any time. Right up until check-in.

best to get this sorted ASAP. It could be as simple that they need advance passenger information.

You must talk to Qantas no eticket equals no flight

This is what I understand - it's catered sufficiently to let F get whatever takes their fancy from the menu on the day

Not recently - the online only options I believe have been discontinued.

I have had a similar issue in the past.

Got email confirmation of booked 280K reward and could see all flights confirmed online etc,

However, did not get my eTicket. After a couple days biting finger nails called Qantas and the person told me ticketing were very busy and doing tickets for people who were travelling soon (my first flight was months away).

He called ticketing while I was on the phone and got the ticket issued while I waited.

The emailed eTicket came through about 30 mins later.
