I actually considered cancelling the account.
Considered it myself, those tracking cookies are dammed creepy at the best of times - but this e-rewards cookie was going way too far.

I like how I found out about the change from a frequent flyer blog, and not the company themselves. :(

Got a survey on soft drinks today. (been getting about 1 survey a week) Stupidly told them my really age instead of realising that they probably wanted a younger demographic. Oh well took the opportunity to opt out of cookies.

Thanks for the heads up.

Important information for e-rewards users

Gary Left is reporting at his blog View from the Wing, that e-rewards will be deploying advanced tracking cookies from October.

If you do not opt out of these cookies, they can and will be used to tracks the patterns of online behavior of e-Rewards Members.

If you don't want this to occur, you will need to login to the e-rewards website, and update your profile. On the bottom of this page, you can specifically select to opt out of these advanced tracking cookies.

I'm not sure if someone has already pointed this out or not but i discovered this today ...

if you go to the e-opinions rewards section and click on the priority club link you can "redeem" 350 PC points for 0 e-opinion rewards. basically they're giving away 350 points.

Doesn't buy much but useful if you need a small top up. Just trying to do my tiny bit in lieu of all the knowledge i don't have and others are so willing to share :)

It has been mentioned before. My suspicion is that they are the 350 points offered as enticement to get you to sign up.
