For those of you who are after a Dyson vacuum, there is currently a sale on that will allow you to get one cheap and score some bonus QFF points.

Let me walk you through the process –

Dyson DC50 Upright Vacuum online is $749 @ DJs and $699 @ Appliancesonline.

However, if you log onto the Qantas Online Mall, you can go through to Ebay. From there you can search for The Good Guys online shop and find a new Dyson DC50 for only $398. Clearly a significant saving from the other stores I listed above.

In addition, there is a further 20% discount off tech from Ebay for using the code CXMASTECH when checking out. This brings the price down to $318.40.

Postage is $15.78 across Australia.

Another option is pick-up from one of The Good Guys stores at no cost.

So I purchased a DC50 at $318.40 with store pick-up saving some $430.60 (54%) from the DJ price.

In addition, I pick-up some 1272 QFF points from the QF online mall in addition to my credit card points.

Discount code expires 30 NOV so hurry!

Full T&Cs of the discount code are here –

eBay.com.au - Pages | Buyer coupons | xmastech |

Hopefully others will be able to take advantage of this special off too!

Enjoy

Now that's what you call "Paying it Forward"...

Thanks Foxxie, My Lady is currently looking at exactly this unit.

Cheers, 'preciated, D

Hmm... Don't think my husband would let me have 3 Dysons in the house, don't think he knows about the 2nd one yet.

Thank you so much for posting Flying Fox.
Because of you I have purchased one for myself and one for no. 2 son for Christmas :).

Alternatively instead of using Qantas Online Mall, you can use Cashrewards for 3% cash back on Ebay purchases. Very effective.

We have just bought a new Miele dog and cat C3 vacuum cleaner, and it is by far much better than the Dyson that we had. Admittedly the Dyson was a D07 and a little over the hill, but the Miele is a much better machine.
Just thought I would have my two pennies worth, if your interested???

But how much did you pay for that Miele???

Damn that's good. And I had been happy with my $550 price 6 weeks ago :(

I tried vacuuming Munn the Cat.
Didn't go too well I'm afraid.
My Dyson DC04 really sucks.

Sorry to have dumped cold water on your purchase.

Could you buy another one at this price and return your original purchase?

Just a thought.

Just got called by The Good Guys; my Dyson is ready for pick-up.

Will probably get it after work today.

thanks Flying Fox. You just saved me a couple of hundred $$.

Order in, awaiting call from good guys.

As a heads-up to those getting on board - I am collecting from near work (in stock), but the defaulted options (near home postcode) were all "sold out".

Perfect timing - our 2003 model died last week (after nearly 13 years of faultless service!), so I called Dyson but no parts available to repair it, instead they offer old model holders a 30% discount (purchase via dyson.com.au) but told "look around as there may be better deals leading up to xmas".

I wonder why they are so cheap?
Is it a mistake price, model run out or just cost price?
Interestingly Masters now have the same price on eBay now, although they don't offer the extra 20% discount

I assume there will be a model upgrade. The DC50 Animal is still close to RRP however.

Just called and emailed by GG - ready for collection.

Thanks heaps Flying Fox just ordered one now. In Brisvegas the Good Guys stores that still have these in stock are Helensvale Homeworld and Robina Town Centre so good excuse to go down to the Goldy for the day.

SO and I were only discussing Dyson vacuum cleaners today so I couldn't believe it when I saw your post. :p
