Duplicate QF bookings and missing confirmation emails

Hi all,

I made three bookings via Qantas websites last night: MEL-SYD-NAN vv. (on Qantas AU site), NAN-LAX vv. (on Qantas FJ site) and LAX-MEL vv. (on Qantas US site). I've received an e-ticket via email for the LAX-MEL booking, but nothing for the others.

The really interesting thing is what is shown in the "Your Bookings" section of the QFF website:

(I've obscured the last three letters of the booking reference.)

As you can see, I have double bookings, except for the LAX-MEL flights (for which I've received a confirmation email). Going into each booking of each pair, one booking has FJ flight numbers, while the other has the QF numbers (which is what I actually booked).

Is this something I should be worried about? Or will it all magically sort itself out sometime today, and result in me getting a couple more eticket emails as well?

Thanks for any advice.

I have seen it before with BA70xx codeshare flights on QF metal.

I had different Amadeus numbers for QF and BA; the QF reference bought up the actual QF flight numbers even though I travelled on the BA versions.*

*(interestingly MEL-SYD appears to not be subject to the QF/BA JSA, even when connecting so I received 125 QFF points only.)

Hey TimB

This always happens when I have booked QF to NAD. Don't worry about it. I have always had my points and SC's credited correctly.

Always happens with Nadi bookings but anyway just ring Qantas and go through the bookings with them if you have concerns. There is no problem calling them.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I've since received the eticket for the NAN-LAX legs, and I've also realised that the reason I haven't been sent the eticket for MEL-SYD-NAN and vv. is that I only put those flights on hold, rather than paying in full. So that clears up that question.

Seeing others have also had multiple bookings show up (with the different flight numbers), I won't worry about it.

I'm now looking forward to flying in seat 1A in a 747, something I never expected I'd do. It's just a pity it's only in J on FJ and not F on QF (or insert your favourite airline here). ;-)
