Looking at various options for trips later this year. How do I check the exact layout/seat map?

For example, QF27 on Seatguru turns up 3 configurations. On Qantas, clicking on the seat map link for the flight also gives 3 configurations.

Is there a website or a way to find the truth?

Thanks,

BK

Have a look at the seat map, either in the booking or just something like Expertflyer. There will be differences in the seat, ie in J on the refurb Row 5 B exists as a single.

You can also use sites such as expertflyer.com, which have free trial memberships. If you do subscribe, you can keep an eye on the flight at all times (up until a few hours before the flight, typically T-24 Hours) for any possible a/c change which may result in a change in seating too.

Thanks for the replies. I only have the free expertflyer membership, and that doesn't seem to allow any info on seats.

markis10 - can you explain more? How can I see the seat map if I don't know which plane configuration? This is not for a specific booking - I'm trying to check multiple options.

Is there a booking site that shows true details?

Told you I was dumb!

Cheers,

BK

With a booking on Qantas, you will need access to a GDS (Booking system).

Two public methods are ExpertFLyer and KVS.

You may then be able to garner a seat map.

Join Expertflyer.com for free and you will be able to bring up a seat map for most flights by just putting in a date, dep and arrival points and flight number.
