A friend who knows I'm going to Dubai sent me this little doosey, I was simply amazed there is no sewer system in DXB. Wonder where it ends and what they do with it, maybe a high rise gas plant!.

The only poop I encountered in that clip was that coming from the audio. Fascinating nonetheless.

Do we actually know they are used for waste transport? The internet is full of misleading videos.

about 14 years ago when I was working for a geotechnical engineering company, we accidentally drilled through a sewer main in a medium size country town in WA which took the waste out of town to the treatment plant. Bad news for sure, but we did have to use every waste truck within 200 miles to create a convey belt to by pass the break to stop everyones toilets and drains from backing up.

Why did this sort of think always happen on Friday nights!

Exactly. It's more likely chem trucks given the size of the airport.

Did that on an urban sewer main using an Electric Friction Cone Penetrometer rig back in the mid 90's. Round the clock sewer trucks, a $15k bill to the company I worked for and a reaming for me ensued. :-|
