Dubai Connect in July – hot or not?

We'll be in Dubai from 6th - 9th July. Hot. And Ramadan. Staying in the resort for the hot days.

Yupp, chill out and enjoy...

If you have not got a choice so be it. They have special telescopes that give you an idea of what its like in different conditions, including a time machine.

Sounds like an interesting place – I'm looking forward to checking it out!

I just got my Burj Khalifa At The Top entrance ticket from Viator (through Qantas). I got the evening entrance, which is from 5 to 10. I hope I won't have to queue for two hours.

The official website had many timings available as well (30 days from today), but they only showed up after around 10 AM Dubai time.

I booked mine for 6pm a couple of days ago direct from their website. It ended up being $76 AUD. It is for a specific time.

Mine was A$42.13 and it only says Evening Entrance. I'll be there early anyway, as I gave up on a desert trip. I arrive around 2 PM and I wouldn't want to spend pretty much all day out there, so I might just drop my stuff off, make a round and head to BK.

I drive a 4x4 in the desert for a living anyway.

Pushka, are you stopping over in the DXB Lounge? I've got an invitation, but I've been told it needs to have 'Dubai' noted on its back for me to get in.

I'm not sure about lounges yet. We depart for Venice a couple of days later and early in the morning so not sure we'll have much time. I'm QP and Mr P is Gold.

It is going to be so HOT!

I know. Freakin hot. Just like Adelaide this last summer. On that Monday we are hitting Khalifa so staying in the Hotel until 4pm then hitting the mall and aquariums then at 6pm the Lift. Seems the reason it's closed until 4pm is due to Ramadan.

Yeah, that's a good way to go. I'm landing at 1 PM, chilling out at the hotel and heading up at 5. The plan is to go out for dinner after dark, which will hopefully be possible...

I see it's possible to pay for lounge access. Since I'm not Gold, I'm thinking about paying for a three-hour access in the International Business Lounge and checking it out.
