Thanks for the reminder, just bit the bullet a few mins ago - I thought the following was quite good value for money?

VA1448 OOLADL 1215 1430
VA 228 ADLMEL 1510 1700

With DSC, 200 SC for $641 (in Business) - hoping I am calculating right - am quite new to VFF.

Congratulations! I paid just under $600 last year for the same routing (my flights were subsequently cancelled and I was rebooked on the direct BNE-MEL flight which would have been more expensive had I booked it in the first place):

Were you able to book this through the VA website?

No unfortunately not able to book on the Virgin website - was able to be booked on the website of "The World's largest Online Travel Company" - has great functionality in terms of multi-city - and heaps and heaps of options.

I ended up getting a BNE/PER (Flexi) for $478, so I can use one of my Plat upgrades. Nice 10% saving using the promo code.

The return flights didn't suit time wise, so doing a QF return.

Just snuck in to book a CBR J rtn on my VA DSC offer (made sense, as fare sale pricing came with it). Didn't go too crazy, as while the DSC is nice, I won't need it based on my future travel to re-qualify as Platinum (for 2016). Cracked 2.5K SCs on QF this week too (50K bonus points, thank you QFF) so not been a bad week all told.

Need I mention that no email offer was received by me...................about the only thing VA is consistent on.

Do you get any Velocity emails? I haven't had any statements or offers since the changeover last year. I do get the holiday offers, but that's about it.

Nope. I have all the right boxes checked. I've signed up.....de-signed up......re-signed up.......checked spam folders......checked blocked email addresses.......

I think they just don't like me

Well, at least I'm not the only one missing out.

VFF has taken up the issue for me, so I'll wait a little longer for a response and report back when advised.

I'm pretty peeved about missing out on the latest offers and wonder what other opportunities I've missed because of this issue.

I am in the same boat gents. Since Telstra cut my internet last year for no reason, I have missed out on emails form everywhere. I have VFF chasing up why I am not receiving emails from them too. When I make changes to my profile I get an email but that's all - no deals, specials. Having the same problem with Woolies EDR.

Just posted this over in the other December 2013 VA DSC-Offer thread, and thought I'd post here too... sorry for the double-up for people subscribed to both threads...

Just thought I'd give a clap to VFF...

In December (and in March), I made quite a number of bookings for travel during this DSC offer period, to take full advantage of the DSC offer. I noted with great interest the VFF-Rep's posting about whether changes to bookings which remained within the eligible travel period would affect the receipt of DSC. I have had to make some changes to flights, and always waited with some scepticism as to whether the DSCs would automatically come through. Without fail, have had no problems at all. I haven't had to chase up any SCs... they have always come through without any issue.

I've made changes to the days I've been travelling, used upgrades, both complimentary and points-upgrades, cancelled upgrades, and various other change combinations, and have never had a problem.

Well done Velocity Frequent Flyer and Virgin Australia. Glad to know that you can make an offer, promise something to your customer, and deliver without any further hassle to the customer.

Seems VA are more clever than some thought..

I was offered DSC during this promotion, though registered for both (Double SCs and Double Points) using the links people provided. Travelled my first flight booked under this promotion on Monday, and the activity posted this morning. I got the double SCs as expected, but alas, no double points.

Has anyone else had more luck and received both? (If you're game to admit it...)

Thank you kevrosmith for bumping this thread - I had totally forgotten.

I'm WP, my year has just rolled and have registered for DSC. Here we go :D

Flew the sector 2 weeks ago and have only received the standard SC's and mileage:

It may also be because your flight wasn't within the eligible period - the DSC offer I got was only for flights from 30 April to 25 June inclusive, so a flight on 22 April wouldn't qualify in any case.

I'm the opposite. Got points offer, clicked the DSC offer link here & it said at the time that I was now registered. Didn't get the DSC. Worth the try.
