I GOT the e-mail today offering double status credits on flights till my year ends, I booked a flight a few weeks ago Perth- coughet going next month and if I got the double i would have made Silver, unfortunatly I will only get ( single Correct ?)leaving me 15 short , I am even going PER- MIA in November in PE, been very loyal over the years with QF and sometimes paying a bit extra but is it really woth it being LOYAL to QF and getting nothing back in return, Just MY thoughts .

The objective of the offer from Qantas is for you to book flights you would not otherwise have made. You have already booked the flight. There is no reason why Qantas should give you extra credits for a flight already booked.

I also received a double status credit offer in early June. I had previously decided not to try to achieve WP status. After the offer, I have booked two flights I would not otherwise have flown. In two weeks I will be WP.

Indeed. Clever analysis. They are very cunning. I received my offer after having decided that WP was just out of reach.(coincidence??) After getting it and hunting around here and educating myself, I cancelled a couple of Virgin flights, substituted a few JASAs and now I have my nice new platinum card.

LOL...now going to have to scratch around to maintain my Virgin Gold

Still never got a proper Double SC promo from QF, although did get the restrictive HK one this year... Maybe I need to stop requalling so early.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Anyone else receive the email from Qantas? I am hoping that over the next day or so, I will get the email as well.

I have about 15000 points to play with will that get me upgrade from Perth - SIN on my trip to coughet?

You will need about 18,000 points and 60 dollars and that will get you one way from Perth to Adelaide and that will get you 29 status credits I believe

The problems with that are you only have 15000 points, and you have to get back from Adelaide

I take back what i said before: you need an economy any seat award ( a so called YASA) most likely

My challenge for my next Frequent Flyer year is now to:
1. Make best use of WP status - a few international trips to allow me to use the Sydney F Lounge.
2. Maintain WP status.

I can see how this becomes addictive.

Nothing for us :( - Hubby will be happy to get one to maintain his plat. He needs another 600 by year end, and we hope to fly back to Oz for Christmas. Fingers crossed he will get one of those DSC email or letter - it would be nice!

I had it for 3 months and it finished last week. It has been a once ever in 40 years of flying.

I got a double status offer email for 3 July-30 September (my membership year end) and am 515 SC short of WP. I had a work trip planned (but fortunately not booked) BNE-BOS for late September so this is going to work out well. With other work trips and leisure flying I should hit the 515 to get to WP.

At the moment though I'm chasing the QF system tech guys as the email I got failed to actually include the link to register (I think because I subscribe to plain text but not sure - QFF phone support are onto it). Hopefully can get it sorted, get some flights booked and make my way to WP.

Qld flyer, I got this email as well without the link. Did you manage to get this sorted by phone?

I sent an email and then followed up with a phone call as I realized I wanted to book some flights quicker than the QFF help guys might deal with my email. Phone call seemed to sort it but I think the email would have done the trick too - I got a courtesy call today to confirm they had fixed it and the QFF lady was a little grumpy that she could see I'd both emailed and called about the same issue "this call is to let you know we do respond to the email enquiries" was one comment. This didn't worry me as I got the outcome I wanted. When I called I had to be quite specific about which email offer I'd received as "we [QF] have been sending quite a few offers at the moment" was the comment.

Fingers crossed the SC get credited ok now so I can avoid having to make another phone call.
