Double Status Credits - QBR Exclusive (October 2025)

OK; so I took one for the team and ran the gauntlet of phoning QF. After being transferred to someone in the Business Rewards centre the agent took my ABN details and has assured me that it has been added to one of my existing CR bookings. Unfortunately I don't think there is anyway I can confirm whether it has been added.

An interesting point is that the agent stated that only one ABN can be attached to a booking so if I wanted +1's ABN also attached I would have to split the booking. If I'm reading the T&Cs of this offer correctly (and as +1 is also an employee of mine and I of her business), just having the one ABN attached should be sufficient.

I have been planning to make a CR booking anyway so I'll get it done before the offer ends, ring up and add an ABN and hopefully it all goes well.
So I booked a CR today and called QBR directly. All up a few minutes to get thru and add the ABN. Now showing under MMB. Let’s see what happens.
So curious thing about my CR booking after calling to add my ABN.

When SYD+1 or I view via the QF app, we can see the ABN but it doesn’t show for either of us via the website. When I go into the QBR portal, it only shows me as a PAX linked to the booking - despite one PNR and both of us as travellers! 🤷‍♂️

So not totally convinced it’s stuck nor will work for DSC. No biggy since we already have heaps of SCs this year but would like to see if it works in case this becomes a regular thing.

My post that you refer to was in reference to CR points bookings; those earning tables in your link are not relevant to a Classic Reward as you do not earn points on a Classic Reward. However, if you are a member of Points Club you do earn status credits on reward bookings. So the point was that, if you can attach your ABN to a Classic Reward booking during the booking period for this promotion, you should earn double status credits; but how do you actually get your ABN attached to a CR booking.
The concept is unusual, but good on you for trying.
ie. may earn DSC through a QBR-run promo, on a fare type that doesn't earn through QBR.

Terms don't mention it's eligible (through PC/PC+), but also don't mention it's ineligible.
Let's wait and see!

So it works as well as anything else that is Qantas IT then...

Actually, new QBR portal is pretty good but it probably wasn’t initially designed for tracking non earning bookings eg CRs.

I’ve never made a CR booking directly via the QBR portal (which was a relatively recent positive “enhancement”), so I’m still curious if anyone else has and does that work better?

I’ll call QBR tomorrow to quiz them on why our booking is only linked to me (I called initially). It could be a back end thing - but yep, still odd.

I looked at PER-SYD-PER and Virgin was 40% of the price in business class. That was for a 737 ride on either plane in December.

If you book an eligible CR via the QBR portal, it’ll still earn SCs with PC/PC+. So not unreasonable to expect it to trigger under this promo if the ABN is there.

There’s nothing in the Ts&Cs precluding CRs, as far as I can tell.

Wait and see.

Alas, the Venn diagram of AFF members with QBR and PC/PC+ is pretty small group from what I can tell…?

I just booked a rental via the QBR portal and the following popped up on the confirmation. I'm assuming means points not status credits on existing bookings given the t&cs. Anyone have experience or information to suggest status credits could be earned on existing bookings?

It would be referring to eligible bookings made on or after 23 October.

I have QBR and PC - and I thought that maybe a few small business owners would have PC/PC+ by putting their business spend through QF point earning cards. But maybe I’m wrong.

Oh so do you think this means that my Japan trip in January, already booked as a QBR trip, will now automatically get DSC?

Yeah, you’d expect a lot of overlap with QBR and PC but how many are AFF users? The QBR forums here are pretty quiet. Certainly compared to PC threads.

Alas, no.

Funny thing though, the day it launched the landing page implied any booking but once I registered it was explicitly stating the booking window to be eligible.

For me that's because QBR is pretty underwhelming in the main. We are a very small business, so it's just a bit of double dip on points for Mr Seat0A and me, plus a couple of team members. I have made a few hundred dollars of savings on a couple of international flights, but nothing really to write home about. So I guess it does interest me that QF are at least trying something new for QBR with this DSC offer. I'd like to support it, to encourage them to do more, but looks like I will not make any bookings on this one given how close it is to the last "standard" DSC offer.

Has anyone made a booking using GV (to avoid the cc fee)?
I'm trying on the QBR portal and it is logging me out after searching for flights.
Unless you bought the GC immediately and use it, you'll probably find the PNR creation date won't match QBR promotion time. otherwise just use the GV normally and add your ABN afterwards. I do that reguarly and have no problems. It even detects my Qantas AMEX correctly and gives me 3x tier points on QBR as well.

I agree. It's a nice to have and definitely has bonuses here and there but nothing earth shatteringly great. But hey I'll take my free extra points every flight as well as some other point earning mechanisms.

Considering booking flex Y ARN-LHR-SIN.

If I change it later to something like ARN-LHR-SIN-MEL-SIN-LHR-ARN, and fly within the promotion period, will I get DSC for ALL the eligible QF segments? PNR would be the same but I have heard mixed messages about this from people (Ts and Cs of promotion don't seem to exclude it).
