Double Status Credits - QBR Exclusive (October 2025)

Don’t tell me Qantas are getting desperate 🤦‍♀️
Yep and handing out points/SC's rather than a concerted effort at any of the below:
  • a Call Cenetre that actually knows what Qantas does
  • Staff who understand who the customer is
  • Executives who understand a sustainable business is good for everyone rather than extracting what they can for themselves in the short term
  • Qantas FF program has become too diluted to be a meaningful FF program
  • You know..actually be an airline...

Please correct me if I'm wrong but this offer does not need to be a GST-registered business.

I wonder if it will qualify if one is able to add the ABN to a CR over the phone; is this even possible? I've had success getting missing QBR points added after a paid flight by phoning and adding a missing ABN but, of course, CRs don't earn points (only SCs for points club members)

If you try, report back!

I’m still curious if a CR booked via the QBR portal picks up the ABN?

If you use the regular website and check the box “Travelling for XYZ”, that actually hides CRs from the search results…

The issue with this (at least for me) is that you need to have sufficient Business Rewards points in your account to be able to book through the Business Rewards portal whereas most of my points are in my personal account. I don't know of a way to transfer personal points to Business Rewards, only the other way around.

Can't you just book on your personal account and then add your ABN in MMB. Problem solved?

OK; so I took one for the team and ran the gauntlet of phoning QF. After being transferred to someone in the Business Rewards centre the agent took my ABN details and has assured me that it has been added to one of my existing CR bookings. Unfortunately I don't think there is anyway I can confirm whether it has been added.

An interesting point is that the agent stated that only one ABN can be attached to a booking so if I wanted +1's ABN also attached I would have to split the booking. If I'm reading the T&Cs of this offer correctly (and as +1 is also an employee of mine and I of her business), just having the one ABN attached should be sufficient.

I have been planning to make a CR booking anyway so I'll get it done before the offer ends, ring up and add an ABN and hopefully it all goes well.

If it stuck, it should show up in MMB under “Booking contact”. Below the phone numbers there’ll be:

ABN/QBN

This booking has been linked to a business.” Blah, blah and the ABN at the bottom.

had flights that i was about to book so this worked out quite handy, even though i had some banker bookings from the last DSC so all good.

gets me closer to retaining platinum for the following year

I ended up rebooking the fares to Thailand. I was using a DSC to book these but with change of plans, so not definite that would work anyway. Turns out the fare I'd paid originally was higher than I'd thought as I'd used a voucher as part payment. So not out all that much for a guaranteed DSC.

My head is going to spin keeping track of overlapping DSC offers and what was booked when….

Interestingly, as far as I can see there aren’t the usual exclusions under the general DSC offers (other than an eligible QF flight). Just needs to be a new booking.
I do about 120 flights in Australia each year - a combination of Virgin and Qantas. When I put the booking in my calendar I always record what the deal is for that booking. ?In the last 2 years I reckon 80% of my bookings would have been on 2 x SC or some other promo. I cross che ck my Qantas and Virgin statements to my calendar to make sure I gety what was promised.

That comment was a bit tongue in check. At the time, there were literally four DSC promos in play! Unheard of.

I actually selected “Points” for the last general DSC because of the timing and existing future bookings.

Yep, I do similar - make a record and annotate the trip in TripIt.

Success! Looks like problem solved😊
So I booked a CR today and called QBR directly. All up a few minutes to get thru and add the ABN. Now showing under MMB. Let’s see what happens.

Also made another paid booking that may have the change 😉. Hopefully that sticks also.

I just made a series of domestic bookings today via QBR, made a couple J as they had a sale - should be a good chunk of SC required to requalify for WP.

I've got to do a MEL-CAI (via DXB) trip in December/January - cost in Y for QF on EK metal is about $4700. I might have a play with RTW fares to see if I can get something cheaper that includes a QF flight over the Pacific and a QF flight from somewhere like SIN on the way back to maximise the SC's (DSC's).

I presume that SC's earn the same way as normal on a RTW flight? I've never actually done a RTW since joining QFF!
