Hi
The night before I travel, QF has cancelled my QF flight and rebooked me on Air New Zealand. I assume I will lose the double status credit for this flight as it was for QF flights on QF metal. Does anyone know what happens in this circumstance? Not happy :(

Thanks

I don't see why you wouldn't have a valid case to get the DSC's as a sort of Original Routing Credit. Just wait until after you fly and after the expected timeframe for DSC's to apply (is it four weeks?) and send all the details to the [email protected] email address. Keep a copy of the boarding pass just to be sure.

If you are flexible you don't have to accept QF rebooking you on NZ. You can call QF and ask for other options.

If it helps, this is the screen shot I took of the t&c’s beford i made my own bookings. Was worried about errs esp. Since QF didnt confirm the DSC at booking time.

I have had DSCs awarded in this situation before, you just need to email [email protected] after the flight and request Original Routing Credit. Be persistent if they reject it initially.

Not sure why you wouldn't receive DSC by emailing [email protected] a copy of your BP.

Officially you can request ORC, however I'm having a fun experience right now.

Original booking with DSC
Upgraded with points to J
QF cancelled original flight (well in advance) - got shifted to another flight automatically, time was ok
QF cancelled rescheduled flight the day before - got shifted automatically but called to change the time
Flight posted as a classic reward flight

Now going back and forth - they asked me for a tax invoice for the flight reschedule(!?)

Have you tried sending them the original booking confirmation with proof you paid? Since if you’re asking for ORC they should only need your original flight details

Yes sent the original booking confirmation/e-ticket/invoice + change notifications, the Simiiformes in wherever that contact center is located are just being difficult.

Just request original routing credit as other posters have suggested. If you face any problems go to the ACA but it should all work out in the end.

How did it go?

I’ve got a similar situation. Booked AKL-SYD-DPS on QF in J on DSC, flying today. Had 3 voicemails on my phone this morning of increasing urgency pleading (ok that’s me exaggerating) for me to OK them putting me on direct EK AKL-DPS. Called them back and advised I was worried about DSC and they called the FF team who said I will get ORC and DSC on those. I’m sure I’ll be in for a few phone calls to actually get them though.

I hope they don’t try that with my upcoming DPS to AKL - going from 1-2-1 QF business to 2-3-2 EK business is not something i’m keen on.

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t have done it for the night flight back but for the daytime flight the EK one was direct, load less than 50% in J, got me in 3 hours earlier to see some friends and promised the points and DSC as if I’d gone on QF via SYD

Update: called QF FF team and told them the situation. Not a problem. Within 5 min the agent had processed the ORC and DSC’s. Very happy

I had the exact same situation

- Booked DSC
- Upgraded with points to J
- flight re-scheduled but they kept me in J
- showed as a reward flight in my points activity.

Emailing them was a waste of time. Sorted in 5min on the phone and DSC came through a few days later.

... Emailing them was a waste of time ...

Please explain ....

Edit: No response from the email, QFF misunderstood, more information requested, processed but incorrect SC were credited .....?

Aaargghh - this is so frustrating and such a waste of my time.
After my email on 2 July with all requested documentation rang them today - almost a month later to try to sort it out. Agent seemed good and put in another request. Just now received an email that my request was UNSUCCESSFUL. I'm not giving up on this but very disappointed with the customer service.
