But for the sake of this discussion, DSCs usually post promptly in our experience.

I'm not sure if it's just my perception of it all, but I believe there are quite some weeks at the start of every promo where it is nearly always problematic and then when they sort their cough out, it becomes more streamlined and speedy further down the track of the promo period.

At least I'm hoping for that as my year will end only a few days after my last DSC flight which I'll be relying on for WP requal. I wonder if they issue a SG card and then after debate and phone calls reissue a WP card?

One of mine has, yes - I was giving it a fair chance for the return set of flight DSCs in the PNRs to show up before posting... but I'll give y'all a preview.

I purchased a few GVs during the promotion booking period, and after the DSC T&C changes that were noted in this thread. I then used 2 of the vouchers later on after the promo booking period had closed to make two separate return trips (with 1 PAX on each) for travel during the promo travel period.

All flights credited regular SCs promptly, as expected, and the return flights on both PNRs have posted the DSCs, but we are still waiting on the outbound segment DSCs to show. Looking a lot like success, though!

Cheers,
Matt.

It seems I might have jinxed myself by jumping the gun on some initial DSC postings for the return flights of 2 PNRs... I'm still waiting on the outbound flights to appear, though the inbounds showed up a few days after the regular SCs. Curious; has anyone had DSCs post successfully from this promo for domestic travel on the 3rd of March?

Cheers,
Matt.

What exactly were you expecting?
Prompt posting of double SCs as per last years promotion and not to be treated differently to the people who are reporting success with this years promotion even after changing flights.

I meant by contacting Qantas before the mandatory six-week waiting period was up. Of course they are going to direct you to the T&C and tell you to call back in six weeks.

I traveled two weeks ago with DSC offers, and the points were in within 48 hours. Not sure why mine are so quick.

The double SCs are supposed to post within 2-3 days. They did last year but from memory there may have been some teething problems in the beginning.

This is the first time that I have booked flights so soon after promotion has started as I don't have forward bookings any more.

They usually do, but QF says they should post within 6 weeks.

Did you book your flights before 10am BNE or 11 am SYD/ MEL local time on the first day. If so this will most likely the reason your DSC are not posting automatically.

Second last and last day from memory.

Has anyone ever not eventually got the double SCs they were entitled to?

The amount of panic in this thread when they're not even overdue is highly amusing.

DSC MEL-LHR posted 2 days after flying. Now I just need to see if the will comp me the 5 SC to get to SG before my next trip which is on points.

Comping is to retain status not to level up except in very rare cases (e.g. trying to encourage an inactive member who has been a QFF member for a long time to fly regularly again).

Well there is a status challenge too, which I guess is a form of comping.

4 sector travel on 3rd of March , DSC promptly post 3 days later on 6th of March .

I'm trying to avoid having to follow up on everyone of my bookings. That's a lot of time wasted.

A single email with the flight information would suffice and take up little time. You could even start typing the email now and keep adding flight details as you go, ready to send after week 12 or whatever it is.
