Wow! DSC offer just hit my inbox and I'm still 5+ months out from anniversary. Last year it came 2 months before anniversary, previous year it was 3 months after anniversary....time to go read the MASA sticky...

Just received mine too, Note that it needs to be booked in the next 5 days. I'm already WP until the end of next year, unlikely to get to P1, and frnakly..don't need to travel anywhere! But odd that this is my second Double SC offer this year.

Have had 2 double SC email in the last 2 weeks, does that make me special or mean a quadruple SC. included in one was the Asia sale deal, Y return to Singapore for $800 or so, seem pretty good.

Matt

Quadruple SCs IMO!

Got the one needing to book by the 10th. Thankfully I have my work trips worked out until end of November so can go through and book.

How do you guys do it!
I want double SC too please

Apparently I'm not sleeping with the right people :(

Well I am. But they don't work for QF. And that's a different matter ;)

None here either. I'm happy though, still using and abusing the loyalty programs here. It's that sort of relationship. They know not to tempt me, I won't book with them anyway.

Got my first ever DSC offer, for the last 3 weeks and first 2 months of my year!

...but in classic bad luck I am awaiting confirmation to start a new job so have absolutely no scope for travel! :(

This is the best time to get leave.....if they've decided to go with you they will be willing to accommodate.

This is my view based on many years of being the person that is hiring.....not looking to get hired.

It is, sadly, not that kind of situation - they would just get another individual to work! (it is entry level)

I lie actually, I hope to be able to head to Adelaide for a weekend in October but until I know where I stand with the aforementioned employment, I won't be able to book. Oh well - Just have to wait!

Had a quick skim but couldn't find this info. I luckily got this DSC promo again this year until November. In the terms and conditions it says this "Flights can be booked via qantas.com, a travel agent or Qantas Direct". Does booking via online sites like Expedia, Orbitz, etc.. count for this DSC? I'm not sure if they're classified as a travel agent. Anyone have any prior experience with DSC Promo and booking via other online sites?

Online travel sites such as Expedia are considered to be booking agents.

Happy travels. :)

My other half received a Double SC offer on 5th Sept but didn't tell me til yesterday, then in reading the email it mentions had to be booked by 10th Sept. A bit disappointing as 5 days is not enough time to have read the email, planned some trips and booked.
Is it a hard and fast rule about when the booking was done?

Afraid so.

Afraid so.

Thanks..

My only feedback to Red Roo around these kind of offers is you should give more than 5 days to book, if it had been more than 5 days myself and my other have would have booked a return trip in PE to HKG.. but alas not now.
As generally people need a few days to sort out leave from work before they book, etc.

That's the same one I got. Managed to book at about 10pm on the 10th. Was a very tight booking period but I can hardly complain. Very early in the membership year.

I got an interesting one yesterday.

Double SC on SuperSaver fares to HKG.
Plus 4500 bonus QFF points on SuperSaver or FlexiSaver return flights.

SuperSaver fares are listed as H and K class and FlexiSaver fares listed as Y and B.

Must book by 20 December for travel before 30 June.

The interesting part about all this is that I have been doing lots of searches for flights to HKG recently as I have a work trip coming up. Luckily the email arrived before I kicked off the booking process. I may end up with a Red e-deal though due to cost cutting =(

I got the following:
For a limited time, when you book and travel on a Flex˜ fare, we're rewarding you with twice as many Status credits[SUP]#[/SUP] as you would usually earn between Australia and New Zealand. That's a minimum of 40 Status credits each way, instead of the usual 20 Status credits.

You also get an additional 2000 FF points. But by going by the example provided (see pic below), I am struggling to figure out why I'd want to book a fare at over double the sale price just for such a small number of SCs
