So did Vicki meet Ellen?
She was invited to the MEL show as a VIP guest, however unable to actually meet Ellen due to time constraints. I'm sure Vicki would be happy to share her experience in more detail if you're lucky enough to have her answer your next call to the Premium desk. :)

I haven't had to call the premium desk in quite a while (it is amazing how Qantas seems to forget about their overseas members). But if I do call I will ask :)

If the Premium Desk is open at the time, you may request for your call to be transferred.

My comment was more around how overseas WPs are treated overall but I do understand your comment about getting transferred.

LTG happens very soon. I can't see any reason to remain crediting after that point... Which is sad, but obviously I will still fly Qf at various times.

I was hoping a little DSC to hit my email but no :( would of been nice to get a little helping hand to start my new year off. Make gold easy but will fall short of platinum again so looks like second half the year is with Virgin and hold gold in both :/

Just out of interest, any AFF'ers out there that signed up for the DSC offer in June (applicable to bookings made between 21st & 30th June - flex fares and above for travel before end of August) had experience with DSC's posting quickly? I'm due to move from NB to WP within a 3 week period but I'm hoping the DSC will take a couple of weeks (at least) to post so that I can get all 3 (PS, SG & WP) cards/welcome packs. Interested to hear of people's experiences... Happy flying!!

It took me 7 weeks and heaps of whinging on the phone to get my 200SC. When they did post all flights posted together even though they were spread out over a few weeks.

I also received the 50% DSC offer in July - now into my third week waiting for them to post.

Well good news in my case then - but that's quite a long time to wait and watch under normal circumstances. Would have thought the processing would be easier than that :/

It took around 6 weeks for my initial set to post. After that though, any flights I've taken have been within a week.
I think the initial delay was due to the fact that the registration bit didn't work properly for members and they had to manually do it.

Mine took about 6 weeks to post, but my Trans-Tasman flights didn't come through. I called them a couple of times and eventually they manually added them on.

I've got 60 SC to go before I make SG - my next flight was booked in the qualifying period and will give me 40 SC, with the 40SC DSC offer getting me to SG.. I have a feeling it wont credit before my next flight the following week though, so I may have to see if I can beg the QFF team to credit the DSC offer manually before I go so I can enjoy the lounge again on my way to OOL (via Sydney ;)).

My DSC flights were on August 8 & 9. All credits had been recorded within 4 days :D

Well as luck (good or bad I'm not sure) would have it I just logged into my QFF account to see 4 out of the 6 sectors from my weekend JASA run have had the DSC's credited to my account. Pushing me over the line for SG (1st time - WP due in 3 weeks time!!!). I'm actually slightly disappointed it didn't take longer as I would have liked to have received my Silver pack but anecdotal evidence suggests I'll only get the Gold pack now - given my brief (2 days) stint at Silver. First world problems....

I'm pretty sure I've seen Red Roo help some AFFers get their silver packs even when they spent less time at Silver... or am I mistaken?

Damn it, I just got the double status credits, a couple days after making all my bookings for the next couple of months and already qualifying for Platinum :/. Interesting that I got an offer that leaks a month into my new year.

Would love a DSC right now, I'm doing trans-tasman MEL to AKL every week and im about 400 short of Platinum.
I think I've done almost 30 sectors this year which is a PB for me.

I just got that email and am in similar boat having comfortably qualified to retain WP. The offer covers two months of my new year so it'll help set up re-qualification for 2015.

Same here

Got the offer 2 months post my renewal date AND all bookings for 2013-2014 had been done to requal WP until June 2015.

What a (relative) waste !

Reminded me of the time sitting on JQ to AVV for a lousy 10 SCs to cross over the line. That was when this DSC would be handy.

But....
".... So for all new bookings from now until 30 November 2013, you'll get double your normal Status credits^ on all eligible Qantas flights - that is with a QF flight number on your ticket*. ..."

Does that look to you like bookings made before 30th Nov will attract DSC or .... flights before 30th Nov ??

This is the next sentence in the email received today:

"... And to qualify, all you need to do is register, book and fly on any eligible Qantas international or domestic flight between 20 August and 30 November 2013..."

Any thoughts ?

EDIT

I just saw the small print (again) at the end of the registration page

"... The offer is only valid for the recipient of this email when you register, book and travel between 12.01am (AEST) 20 August 2013 and 11.59pm (AEDT) 30 November 2013..."
