Double Status Credits 2013

I received the promotion when I had earned 2,030 sc (all CX and zilch Qantas). They were enticing me to P1 but I had to achieve 1,350 sc (fat hope)

P1 requires 2,700 SCs on QF codes, so in your case, you would've needed 2,700 SCs. A pretty tough ask even if you have a DSC. :)

Yeah.... that's why I said I needed 1,350sc to be earned (2700/2 with the DSC offer). P1 doesn't really entice me that much as most of my international travel is now solely with CX. At some point I might completely switch my earning to CX to earn diamond.

Off topic. Was on QF475 SYD-MEL yesterday and had this (I assumed) wanker platinum (yes I have to say that word) sitting with me on the same row. He automatically assumed the middle seat was spared and had all his belonging on the middle seat. Voila came a lady and he was actually suppose to be in the middle seat. But this guy has no flying etiquette at all. He had his elbow spread across our seats, took my meal, invading on our space. Whilst I understand he is an elite, but half of QF domestic flights are full of elite. Luckily the flight was on time and only took 1:15mins.

ok.........double status credit offer to my mum, who does not fly without me and I don't feel like doing another SC run after my may/june effort. Registered just in case I change my mine between now and september

My partner just received one of these offers, a day after ticketing for intl J travel with a combination of QF and CX flight numbers...

What triggers a 'new' booking? Is there a straightforward way to make the ticketed booking eligible for DSC?

Can you book the same flights for the same price now? and are you in a ticket class that is refundable on your first booking (cash not a credit).

My 10 year old got a DSC offer today.......LOL I had to wait 45 years for my first offer.

The journey begins in 2 days and there isn't much by way of spare seats on the flights so I don't think cancel/rebooking is possible.

I am still wondering - what triggers a 'new' booking? Is there a straightforward way to make the ticketed booking eligible for DSC? I've looked through the existing threads and haven't had any luck working out if there's a way to do this. Any help would be appreciated! :)

Hi,

I just spoke to a girl named Lucy at Qantas as it has been over a month since I took some flights and the credits have not yet posted. They said that there was no fast track process available. I need the extra to tip me over to Silver and was planning to send a pass to my parents who are transiting via HKG and have 5.5 hours there. I bought some passes off ebay (will warn about possibility of fakes and paid via paypal just in case) but this is pretty ridiculous and they haven't won any goodwill from me here.

In the past it seems like people have messaged RedRoo to good effect, have other people's taken this long? Lucy said it could take up to 8 weeks.

Thanks,
Paul

I would love a DSC offer.

Just got another work trip coming up (to be booked tomorrow), one way is in full Y so that is 110 for the trip.

I have done 285 SC in 3 months (brand new account) & have QC.

I might be able to include a trip to USA and Europe in the next 3 months. I just want to hit gold :)

Please Red Roo can you pull some strings.

That seem strange. My DSCs were credited within a maximum of 7 days I think and that was for the first one. Thereafter, they were credited within 3 days.

I found phoning the frequent flyer team, rather than the customer care team to be very effective. It never hurts to follow up. Keep you PRN handy, they should be able to investigate and post points to your activity statement while your on the phone. This was my experience on Monday.

That's a good point. I had to do this back in 2011 for some flights to Fiji where I was only credited Discount Economy instead of Business. Once confirmed by the QFF rep, he added the missing credits whilst I was on the phone and a quick browser refresh showed them.

Definitely had the same issue with the QFF Premium line. Also, Yes a PM to Red Roo made a huge difference.

I had some domestic DSC trips that had not credited (others had within 3 days). The ticket was originally a voucher that was actually ticketed within the DSC offer period - so should qualify. I called the FF line and they were instantly* credited. Call the FF line - not customer care. Note too that I did that and it somehow went to the Plat line - but they then on-passed it to the FF line.

Hey,

What's the number for the FF line? I called 13 13 13. I'm a lowly Bronze if that makes a difference.

Is it this one?

I had the same problem - however 2 emails have insisted I booked last year (when the voucher was purchased). Will try to find time to call. Sigh.

That's the one, enter your QFF number, select option 4 then 2 from memory.
