Double SC to the Gold Coast

I got it. SG from Sydney. Partner is Platinum also got it. Already have 2 flights booked for travel next year so missed out on double SC but I got them for $98 return so happy with that.

Gold in Melbourne, will be WP in October.

I think the offer is being targetted at Silver and above as the T & C's refer to checking in with your "chip" FF card. I don't think Bronze have a chip do they ??

Wife received it this afternoon, she is Q FF Silver and we live in Perth.

I received it about 6pm.

I'm QP-Silver, MEL based and I haven't flown to QLD for about 5 years.

What date did they come in ??

What status FF are you guys that got it ??

Do you all live in NSW ??

5th Bronze Gold Coast I was WP years ago but when Qantas left OOL and they sent me an umbrella I went over to DJ WP there

I received one at 18:15 yesterday. SG based in Melbourne - need a status run late this year/early next to retain gold, so this may be handy.

I'd be interested to get advice from RedRoo on whether a middle segment on an itinerary that passes via SYD-OOL is also elligible for the double SC's or whether it is only bookings that are SYD-OOL point to point bookings.

For instance, if I book CBR-(SYD)-OOL , does the SYD-OOL also acrue double SC's or only bookings that are directly SYD-OOL.

Thoughts?

*Edit- CBA changed to CBR- Thanks SAMH004!

I would have thought it was only the specific SYD-OOL and OOL-SYD flights that got the double SCs. Any other flight would just be the normal SCs.

Surely any QF booking that had a SYD-OOL segment would have to be on those flights?

Haven't received the offer myself, but they must realise I don't leave QLD so they made the right choice as I wouldn't manage to take it up.

Do you mean CBR ;)



Nothing for me yet and I've been thinking about booking a JASA Mel-Syd-Ool to help requal for SG.

If I get the offer it will be booked. I wonder if the registration link will work for non targeted members?

I think CBR-xSYD-OOL would qualify. Read the ~ or * in the promotion email or signup page and it defines what a qualifying flight is, and generally refers to a flight that earns SC and Points.

I had a look at the conditions and I read it the way you do. I'd just like a confirmation before I start dreaming up good runs!

I think the SYD-OOL part would qualify, but the CBR-SYD flight would not have double SC.

for flights between Sydney and the Gold Coast between 28 October 2012 and to 31 March 2013

+1... the way I read the offer is that only the syd-ool flight counts for dsc... considering the offer has been sent to people who don't live in Sydney,, it would have been easier to just say "fly to the Gold Coast and earn double status credits"

From Melbourne, unless you want to go to the Gold Coast, a jsa mel-syd-ali provides the same status credits for similar costs.

Looks like I will be making a couple of OOL - SYD flights

It is I, Leclerc !

Yes that's how I read it as well, 40 + 80 = 120SC. I did take a look, 240SC cbr-syd-ool return but 32K + $250 taxes..... nahhhh that's way too much so I pass ;) Two return trips and I could have gone JASA somewhere to somewhere in Asia in a proper J cabin and o/s holiday, but of course not as much SCs.

Also received this offer from QF. I might save this for the new year as I received a DSC offer (my second) for all QF flights between 1 September and 30 November 2012.
