I am a Gold Frequent Flyer, just qualified in this "year" and new assessment period starting again in June. By my current schedule, there is no chance I will score a Platinum but something special appeared in my email today!

Today, I received the following..... anyone got the similar email?

You could enjoy Platinum privileges sooner

We hope that you have been enjoying the privileges that come with your Gold membership. You may not realise, but you are well on your way to achieving Platinum status.

We'd like to help you reach Platinum status, so we are offering double Status credits* on all eligible^ Qantas flights when you register, book and travel from 4 Mar 2013 until 31 May 2013.

What do I have to do?

My Mrs got exactly the same email last night. She is Gold with renewal 1st June (and already enough baked forward bookings from 1st June to retain Gold) but not worth while to extend to Platinum this current period. This is the first time she has received it as well. But nothing for me (again).

Nothing here yet, but am expecting one as it would help me a bunch and if QF helps me to 1200, I'll seriously consider 2400 :p

Seems pretty standard, a lot of people have reported DSC offers for the last 3 months of their membership year.
I got one last October as my membership year ended in December.

Correct.
My SWMBO got this one month ago and with a renewal one month earlier than ilyth

You will be looking for one just after Easter if one comes at all, other than Dec given end of Feb expiry for your year.

How much flying have people done before the DSC offers started turning up? Only once you were trying to requal for Gold?

*cries*

My membership year is up 31st May, no DSC offer for me. If I got one I'd run for platinum, but as it is it isn't worth it for me.

So close yet so far :(

Have you checked your profile settings to allow promos sent to you?

Yep, all check boxes ticked.

Not gonna happen this year. Oh well. One day I'll earn enough to fly J, then I won't need the lounge :)

My membership year ends end of May too and nothing :( looks like SG for me

A co-worker who renews in June received the offer too. She is silver and will easily help her get gold.
