An interesting promo from Jetstar - Double Qantas Points when adding a Plus or Max bundle to your booking until 31 March 2024.

It will also give you a share of 5 million points (the share will be equal across everyone who is eligible).

Travel must be between April and June 2024.

You must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member to earn Qantas Points. Membership and points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer program terms and conditions. A program joining fee usually applies, however, you can join for free here. To participate in the ‘double Qantas Points, plus a share of 5 million Qantas Points’ giveaway you must be a Qantas Frequent Flyer member at the time of booking. Qantas Frequent Flyer members who book a flight with either a Plus or Max Bundle at jetstar.com for travel between 1 April – 30 June 2024; between 12.01am AEDT 13 March and 11.59pm AEDT 31 March 2024 (offer period) will receive double the usual Qantas points awarded for a Max or Plus Bundle booking and a guaranteed, equal share of 5 million Qantas Points (eligible entry). A member’s share of 5 million points will be evenly distributed by dividing the total points amount by the total number of eligible members during the promotion period. Eligible flights include domestic and international JQ or 3K flights. Qantas Points will be credited to the Qantas Frequent Flyer’s account as a separate line item and awarded per eligible booking. Your Qantas Frequent Flyer membership number must be recorded at the time of booking to earn double Qantas Points and your equal share of 5 million Qantas Points. Members should allow up to 8 weeks from 31 March 2024 for their double Qantas Points and share of the 5 million Qantas Points to be credited to their account. I wouldn’t get super excited about the 5 million share.

Pre Covid Jetstar said they operated 5000 flights per week, let’s call it 714 flights per day. For this promo there is 90 days worth of flights and assuming an average of 220 seats per flight then my very cough maths says there are ~14.14 million Jetstar group seats in April, May, June.

I’d expect only a couple of percentage of those to be new bookings on max fares, so let’s say at most 200,000. This is on a very high end you’d get 25 points bonus but if a lot less max fares are sold then more like 100-200 QF points.

Quick glance at the T&Cs doesn't indicate clearly whether this double points offer applies in conjunction with the QFF tiered status bonus, can anyone confirm whether you'd get to effectively "double double" up the points as a WP?
