Double Points and DSC [Book by 8/9/17, fly by 6/9/18]

Clicking on link in email takes you to a personalised "Registration Confirmation" page that has my first name as its salutation ..... so it may not necessarily be global.

Interesting, the confirmation page I got didn't have my name on it anywhere.
 
It seems just by clicking the link from the email that it registers you, note the title "Registration Confirmation":

Dammit nothing for me! If I get this I would aim for Platinum for the first time.
 
Bookings locked in: QF1 to LHR, QF10 to MEL - didn't really want Dreamliner but no QF2 availability anywhere in week of our return dates. Nice - 1280 SC in one trip.

availability ex-AKL for june is garbage (When I need to go to the UK for work) despite early bird sales starting
 
Took a couple of attempts, but extracted some info from the P1 team. Confirmed that the two offers can be used together, subject to meeting the requirements for both offers.

While I didn't ask outright if it was targeted or open to all, the 2nd response from the team included the words: "if you received both offers in the email today.."

And there was a suggestion that an email to confirm registration could be sent within 24 hours. I'm not holding much stock in this though as the info in that first response bore no relation to the questions I asked.
 
No offer here, but I received a 50% SC offer at the end of last week (for domestic) which doesn't end until the day before this new one. Fingers crossed the DSC one comes through as I have a US trip I to book for next year!
 
My anniversary was 31 Aug; I got the 1.5SC and earlier year DSC... before ticking over I was at 1000/1400 for Platinum.

Seems like I just missed out on the DSC, as I feel like theres a good chance it would have been sent if I hadn't just ticked over. Bugger!
 
Some people whose year has just ended have got the DSC offer.

Just got a double points e-mail. Need to book in next 9 days, travel till 03 Mar 2018.
It did say at the top "We hope you enjoyed your recent flight. Your account has now been credited with xx_x Qantas Points for booking reference: xx_xx."

No DSC though.

For anyone wondering why they didn't receive the DSC targeted offer (like me), I just realised on the bottom of my husbands email offer (he was lucky) in fine print it says:
You have received this email because you are subscribed to Qantas Frequent Flyer 'Flight specials, news and updates' emails. To unsubscribe from 'Flight specials, news and updates' emails only, click here

I checked my QFF mail subscription preferences and realised even though I'd ticked the box for 'Exclusive offers for Qantas Frequent Flyer Members', and all the other options, I didn't have "Flight specials, news and updates' checked. Bummer! Must have opted out at some stage, unwittingly.

Could this be the reason why? :confused:
 
All Qantas asks from me is when I last surprised someone. Flights locked until February. Wait until December before buying more vouchers.

As a WP sitting on almost 3000 status credits have not received anything.....
Qantas doesn't want any marginal Platinum Ones?
