If I already have a reservation, is it eligible for the promotion?

Yes, as long as the member is registered for the promotion prior to check-out of the stay and the reservation is for an eligible stay. Regardless of when a reservation was booked, any registered guests with nights within the Promotion Period will receive the promotion bonus.

Successfully registered for it, pretty sure the big question would be if the 2x nights count towards Lifetime Diamond.

Just had it confirmed that reward nights count too which is a nice surprise. Have a absolute stack of HH points so might make a few bookings with points

Depends. For 2023 they have reset the tiers to the normal levels for earning.
Having a kick start on nights might be worth it.
You can rollover 60 nights into 2023 and secure Diamond for another year.

Sorry, I was meant to say that since I qualify under stays, any extra nights I earn (but still under the diamond threshold) will be useless.

How do you work that out

The promotion requires just 12 nights for Diamond. With nights counting for double, that means only 6 are required.

- I check out in a few hours.

Let's see how I go (although the extra night won't help as I'm only 13 out of 42 to retain diamond (or 28 for Gold).

Oh thank you! I was already getting my existing bookings and looking at re-booking them if they hadn't gone up in price!

And all the stays at Hilton Properties in the qualifying period all show "0" for Double Nights Credit Promotion...am I missing something?

Ok ignore me..The ZERO is for points. The "Double Nights" aren't points, but do add up correcting when viewing how many nights earned this year.
