Double Asia Miles Promotion

Cathay current has a double Asia Miles promotion (registration required) for Business and PE travel originating from Australia to/from Hong Kong.

Not stated anywhere, but I am presuming this only counts for double Asia Miles, and will not give double MPC miles (towards status). Anyone have any experience on any such previous offers?

Nice to note the point of difference from the approach of QF for double offers - no booking date requirement, just registration and travel - so pre-existing bookings qualify

To close the loop for future reference, in case this sort of offer pops up again. The double Asia Miles posted successfully without intervention, for a trip booked before the offer was made. All we did was register according to the T&C. As expected, it was just Asia Miles, not double on MPC miles as well.
