After months of planning, heart palpitations induced by 'enhancements' and the joys of offshore ticketing, spreadsheets after spreadsheets of ever changing routings vs impact on EXP qualification - I've just supplied my CC details to the good folks at AA NRT. I decided to go for the 'eticket now and re-route later with additional segments' method as there's no way my kind of personality will survive having to wait till arrival in NRT to issue the tix (in Jan...).

Routing now:
NRT-xSIN-xLHR-DXB-xLHR-FCO-LHR-LAX//SFO-JFK-MIA-MSY-xDFW-xJFK-SYD-NRT

'Real' routing to be reissued into:
NRT-xSIN-xLHR-DXB-xLHR-FCO-LHR-LAX//SFO-JFK-MIA-MSY-xDFW-xJFK-SYD-WLG-MEL-AKL-HKG-SIN-NRT

I'd turn back to LAX on a repositioning to avoid wasting a segment on that // but my parents are with me in the US and I didn't think it'd be fair to force them to turn back with me, or putting them on to a separate plane. Parents vs one land segment... :-|

AA NRT spent an hour re-rating my itinerary, even though Dublin had inserted the rate on Tuesday. The reason given was that the ROE changes every Wednesday and as today is Thursday my Tuesday rate was no longer valid. First time I've ever heard of such a thing. Ended up with a $50 increase... ah well.

Now I just have to wait for the magic word 'Ticketed' to appear. :D
Then the countdown to the vacation begins...:D :D

So you didnt want to go for the AONEx option ;)

Nah... DONE is sufficiently comfy for this uni student. ;)

That reminds me- to those that are applying EVIPs to AA DONEx segments (particularly overwater ones) prior to ticketing, make sure you get the ATW agent to clearly indicate that you'd been booked into A with an EVIP otherwise Dublin will make the mistake of rating your fare as an AONEx. I thought a massive fare increase had occurred overnight but it turned out that they hadn't noticed my EVIP authorisation in line 87 :)shock: ) of my PNR... phew. :)

Line 87?

Blimey - mind you each time I call the ATW desk now they start reading my notes.... they might need an additional server just for the notes soon ;)

Congrats QF009, I look forward to your awesome TR's. :p

[non-core promise]I'd certainly do my utmost to deliver.[/non-core promise] :p ;)

'Ticketed - Aug 15 2007' :D :D

Eticket confirmation sent to my email, but there's no eticket itinerary showing up on AA.com  [the tab that should say 'print itinerary and e-receipt' only says 'print itinerary' and when i clicked on it there's no e-ticket details in it, only a general itin summary]
