Domestic/International Transit: Covid Checks?

Hi Folks,

Next month I'm doing my first overseas travel since 2019, a quick trip to Bali on QF, partly to familiarise myself with the current Covid procedures. I'll be going OOL to MEL, then 3 hours in transit before the flight to DPS.

My question is at what point will Qantas do the Covid checks? Usually I'd expect to get checked right through from OOL to DPS, including both boarding passes, but does OOL have the capability to do the Covid checks required for the Bali leg? Or will OOL just check me in to MEL where the Covid checks will happen? And if the latter, will I need to collect my bags in MEL and do a whole separate check-in?

I'm hoping someone here has done a trip like this and knows the drill.

Cheers.

They should do the checks in OOL.

BNE does it at the domestic terminal, I can't see why OOL would be any different.
