Looking for something for the thread on Full Flexi, and noticed that Qantas is rolling out 'C' class across the domestic network.

BNE to MEL use to be always be $1263 one way business class. About two weeks ago it changed so that $969 is now showing at a lot of off peak times. Maybe these $969 fares book to 'C' class.

I found an announcement with today's date. It doesn't really say much.

Qantas is implementing a new Australian domestic business class fare structure with effect from 30 November 2011. ... The new fare structure will see the addition of a C class fare in the domestic business class cabin and additional price points across the domestic network.

Interestingly, it says this about I class, could they potentially be opening it up in the future for sales?

Just checked - those are D fares. In fact (according to Expert Flyer), I can only see D and J fares filed for MEL-BNE on several random dates over the next 6 months.

That would mean that I class is available if on a domestic sector that's part of an International ticket - e.g., MEL-SYD-LAX. I don't think this means I fares are available on purely domestic itineraries.

Think your right, also if I am not mistaken I class is what they use when they sell to government, not sure if it is generally available.

It looks like C class has gone live now.
Just looking at BNE-MEL there are business class fares for $949, $1005 and $1269.

Think your right, also if I am not mistaken I class is what they use when they sell to government, not sure if it is generally available.

I have had I class fares booked through QF website when they had the companion fares available but mainly they have been discounted corp. TA fares

Yes so it is. Sorry my brain thought D but my fingers typed B.

Some I buckets showing availability but they don't seem to correspond to any difference in price.

MEL-SYDvv has 3 different price points now. $599, $699, and $799.
