Does your partner like traveling as much as you ?

My better half has us on a two Flight/Lounge a day limit mainly as we travel with a 4 year old, Ipad colouring in only lasts so long.

My kids (11 & 9) are the ones that get the FF thing & can't understand why they can't do status runs. They are both sitting on 960 SC with 5 months left in their year to make WP....should have seen their faces when I told them that mum & dad are heading for NZ over the w'end so that mummy can make platinum:shock:

My 8 year old asked what she needs to do to get silver. SWMBO told me not to make the kids think they need something that they don't need. Moi!?

Yes, but he doesn't subscribe to the 'why fly direct when you can connect' philosophy. And tbh after a year of business travel, I now try to fly direct whenever I can unless Reward availability is an issue or a desired cabin class isn't available on direct services.

At least by the time they’re adults they’ll be right on the edge of lifetime lounge access.

MrsDeKa did her first status run last weekend (although we did have to go to Hobart anyway). Her family thought it was odd we took 4 hours to do a less than 2 hour flight, and she flew up the front and I was down the back, but she explained status credits and the benefits of SG to them perfectly :D

To answer the question, yes my partner loves travelling and status now.

Thankfully yes. It (sometimes) helps that she works for an airline! She's fully supportive of my status running as she get's to enjoy the fruits of my SG over her PS as we usually travel together.

My partner wasn't a huge fan of flying (not scared or anything, just not particularly excited by it).

And then I surprised him by giving him a points upgrade on a QF flight. Now he likes flying :)

Fortunately mrsdrron enjoys travel. She does appreciate the upgrades etc so now prefers doing things such as LAX-DFW-LGA rather than going direct LAX-JFK.It helps that I let her have the higher status.
I knew there were no problems when talking about 2013 I mentioned it was going to be hard retaining SPG Plat-she immediately said-"well when we are in Bangkok we can just do a mattress run between the Westin and SGS."

Mr. sinophile888 definitely down NOT enjoy flying. He hates going to the airport, checking in, taking off, sitting on the plane, landing and waiting for luggage. Although he quite enjoyed J on MH in January from HKG to PER.

I do enjoy flying, especially during turbulence. We fly to Hong Kong and China for leisure at least once each year, preferably more. However, I do not fly at night and he gets pretty antsy if we have to do two flights in a day.

My daughter and I travelled to Europe 18 months ago, taking 4 days to get there and the same on the way back. My husband says he would only go to Europe if we can cruise there and back. Looks like any future European trips will have to be with my daughter as my travelling partner.

I am the one that does not enjoy flying. I do however enjoy travel !

Mrs GPH loves travel, And will do it in whY and is happy to fly alone.
Interestingly since I put my foot down ( very gently ) and said " if I don't fly up front, I don't fly " we ( I ) have enjoyed the experience a lot more. I am about to qualify QF. WP , it may not happen again , but double SC's and a few JASA Status runs have helped.
We plan to be in UK next year, initially to be about for the Bossreggie lunch 2.0 , having booked our dates we are set , so if we miss the lunch , we will just have to deal with it.
So in short we are on the same page again as far as flying is concerned, BUT now I have sampled the rarefied air of J I am not sure I can be bothered flying in Y .
