Had an interesting discussion in the office about this today.. turns out that as each passport is endorsed by the Queen, she couldn't endorse herself, so she does not have or need a passport.

Although, Prince Phillip and everyone else does need one.

that's interesting ... i wonder what happens if she comes to LOTFAP and gets one of the customs/immigration 'naz_'s' ...

No entry for you Queenie, comeback one year!

i'd like to see that ... :D

If you check the link, it has a pic of queenie with George 'Dadda' Bush in the US, so obv they let her in without one. (Or did in 1991 when photo was taken) :)

More to the point, imagine what you could do with a copy of her fingerprints and some James Bond style technology. You could have her committing all sorts of crimes... :D

I guess she doesn't line up with the rest of the sheep at LAX though. :(

Official Heads of State do not pass through Customs and Immigration when on an official visit - anywhere.

They often arrive at an Air Force base or Special terminal for that purpose (there is one at Heathrow).

All the other plebs with them do have to clear 'formalities' but for significant plebs (HRH) this is done diplomatically - ie before they even leave.

Those travelling on diplomatic passports only show their passport and do not have to clear the baggage inspection lines.

At least that is how it used to be, unfortunately, I haven't been able to avail myself of that since I turned 21 and got dumped of my fathers diplomatic coat tails.
