You know, CNS-TSV, booked as a marginal ASA .. what's the YASA equivalent of a JASA called first of all?
And does that book as Discount Economy or Full Economy?

If it gets booked as part of a JASA, does it make a difference?

Discount I'd say. A marginal ASA in economy should book in the X fare class.

Not sure about your question of booking it with a JASA is about. But I'd suggest never booking marginal J and Y flights on the same booking. You will earn according to booked fare class regardless of any other flights on the same PNR.

poo.

so it's an XASA that you ask for when you phone?
i thought X is a standard classic award (non-marginal type)?

You'd be better placed asking for an any seat award booked in X class.

The whole point of marginal ASA is that they are booked in classic fare classes. So xasa, Uasa etc. Classic fare buckets. That is also why it is very important to make sure they book them as ASA and not classic awards. There are whole threads on this stuff.
