Probably lining up because just arrived in lounge and there is only one bar person also doing the "barista" coffee, e.g Brisbane QJ lounge last week.

Virgin Domestic longue is sad. The breakfast options and coffee I find are terrible. I always order coffee outside the lounge even though it's like $6.

However I do love to take as many TWG teabags from the KRIS lounge. I actually have a game where I try to beat how many bags i took the previous time i was in the lounge. So far I'm up to 26 bags from one visit.

I usually enjoy a few beers in whatever lounge I'm in. I don't overindulge and have about 3 at most. A few years ago, we flew from Townsville to Sydney and due to a storm at Sydney airport with lightning we were stuck on the plane for 3 hours. Being very claustrophobic I was very relieved when we finally disembarked and due to flight changes, we still had time for the Qantas Club lounge. When I went up for my 4th beer, I remember getting a funny look from the woman serving. She must have been thinking I was making the most of the free stuff! Just to annoy her I went up for a 5th!

If the food is okay, I eat more than needed in a lounge before a long-haul flight so that I don't have to eat the food if flying Y, or I can go straight to lie-flat sleep if flying J.

In my recent experience, yes - normally just focus on coffee but it's usually quieter (unless the club is closed and all passengers are directed to the J lounge anyway, which has been the case for some recent Sunday flights of mine).

The feature food is pizza squares - today's choices were mushroom or rocket, anchovy and chilli

But it is up to them to practice 'Responsible Service of Alcohol' (RSA). Failure to do so can lead to severe consequences for the employee and/or their employer.

I've previously been in a customer service role where alcohol was served (not by me) and had to monitor patron's consumption of alcohol. It doesn't matter if you're drunk or not. Various factors are considered such as frequency of drinks, behaviour, attitude towards staff and other customers. How you're drinking is also a factor, sculling drinks, ordering multiple drinks (which shouldn't be served), getting friends to order and then drinking their drinks; all form part of the decision making process.

In an airport lounge it is a quick way to be off-loaded and depending on your attitude banned from flying for a period.

Annoying bar staff by ordering extra drinks is generally a very quick way to get cut off and is often deserving of further punitive actions.

They don't usually serve doubles but you can always ask for another for a 'friend'. Only tried that once in a lounge. By the fifth drink the staff just ask "the usual?"! But I've never counted. That amount of beer would cause me problems on a plane so stick to spirits.

I remember returning from an AFF lounge run one year (SIN) where two people were refused boarding because they were intoxicated. The people were not AFFers.

I would posit that it happens quite often where people are quietly spoken to and told they're not suitable to fly and will be rescheduled for the next day. Depending on how they respond then often nothing further is said. If they want to argue the point, well the AFP doesn't mind removing people and ensuring they don't fly for awhile.

Yes! In fact I have some with me now . It’s good. I also used to pilfer enough Madam Flavour from VA to get me through the awful stuff they offer from hotels.

No champagne at 6am for me though, I stick to coughtail-hours but that said, yes free booze does cause me to drink more than I should. It’s a danger for sure.

I do love to max every benefit and so while I would never pay for a massage normally (and in fact don’t really enjoy them enough to do so) I’ll take the 15 min one on offer say in the Etihad lounge. So yes, lounging has an influence both good and bad.
