Too true - but all I can go on are the comments posted and they don't fill me with confidence ..... why don't you tell us about the changes in your lifestyle that you have taken because of your concern for the environment?

Cheers,

Andrew

Because I dont feel the need to justify myself to some arbitrary judge and jury on the internet who has deemed it their role to assess whether I am a good or bad person.

But when it comes to jet engines, well there just isn't a viable option, not even a theoretical one (at least I don't think so, let me know if I'm wrong) and that's a big concern.

I believe Boeing have been doing trials on this, and one is set to commence with AirNZ in the near future. It's really in the best interest of GE/Boeing/Airbus et.al to develop plane fuel that doesn't rely on crude.

My understanding of that was that it used a fuel derived from natural gas, but was still blended 50/50 with existing jet fuel, so while it used less crude, it still used crude. Also, it just shifts the problem to further down the track, sooner or later the natural gas supply will also run out.
