Hi All

I am currently looking at the offer below from Best Flights but they cannot advise whether we would earn FF points as fare is classed as O - Not sure what that means and hoping someone can advise. We are looking at the following travel plans MEL - BEIJING (5 days) - HELSINKI (2) - PARIS (7)then PARIS - HELSINKI (1?) - OSAKA (5 ) - MEL March/April or May next year. Not sure what we would do in Helsinki and maybe a brief stop over would suffice. Also do you think that I would be able to get this offer from a local travel agent as have not heard such good things about Best Flights recently.
Thanks

For Qantas \ Finnair and British Airways, yes O class earns FF points.
For Cathay Pacific and JAL, O class does not earn FF points.

I am assuming you are talking about QFF and not a FF through a different airline.

Also take your offer to a TA and ask them. Some will match provided the quote is from an Australian Website (or at least gives the price in AUD) and the first flight leaves from an Australian port and the last flight flys into an Australian port.

Thanks for the advice, after spending an hour on the phone yesterday with them trying to sort available dates they then told me that the flight from Melbourne to Sydney not covered in the price and that they had made a mistake advertising Beijing. I did contact a local travel agent but I suppose quite rightly they will only match once Best Flights had confirmed flights numbers and times etc which was all a bit difficult..anyway having a re think for the moment with costs and routes...

The fare is likely to be available through other channels - not just Best-avoided-Flights.

If you print out the page from BF, then perhaps a Travel Agent will match it.
