Do I need to put my KF Gold number for lounge access?

Hi everyone,

I recently got KF Gold and have no intentions of trying to maintain that status. However, now that one family member has achieved Velocity Platinum, I wanted to focus on VFF, given it's not too difficult to get Velocity Gold with Family Pooling.

I have an upcoming trip using SQ (full fare, not reward) and I wanted to put my VFF (Red) number to earn the status.

Will I lose lounge access if I do not use my KF Gold number when checking in for my flight? I will not be travelling with my partner who is Velocity Platinum, so I will be relying on my KF Gold to get lounge access.

I have been looking online but cannot find an explicit mention that I need to have my KF number attached to my boarding pass. That being said, I also cannot find anywhere that states you can just flash your KF Gold membership to get in as long as you're flying on a Star Alliance partner.

Does anyone know or have experience here?
