With all the back and forth on changes to Status Support from QF I'm kinda confused and need a second (or third or fourth) pair of eyes to check my thinking.
I have a 31 July 2021 status end date. Currently Platinum and with flights and bonuses showing on my account I will end the status year with 1,160 SC, ie 40 short of the regular retention requirements. I would do a Status Run to make the extra 40 SCs and keep Platinum if this was a normal year BUT ...
My reading of the Status Extension announced in November 2020 means that despite falling a little short having booked and eligible flight in the required period I will be granted an extension of my Platinum status until 31 July 2022. Is my understanding correct?
Obviously that saves a status run for the 40 SCs I am short.
