Hi, first post, apologies for the possibly silly question.

A few weeks ago I redeemed QF points for QN flights BNE to TSV return for myself and my partner.
The points came out of my account but only 1 person's worth…
16800 points for “Classic flight 1 adt” and a reference number. (this was during 30% off points sale)
There was also a charge to credit card for two people’s worth of taxes, marked as pending.
Some days later the approx $170 appears to have disappeared from bank records.
the Qantas app shows booking for two people with our ff numbers, I’ve selected seats on all flights and selected a vegie meal for her…

So I’ve either got 2 flights for no taxes and half the (discounted) points.
Or I have paid 6800 points for no tickets.

Flights on QF Qantas? (not JQ Jetstar)
Do you have e-ticket with number 081-Xx----XX by email?
Or just the 6 character PNR reference. A PNR is not a ticket

If it was me, and I had received the e-tickets, then I wouldn’t be too worried about when QF make the credit card charge/points deduction. The important thing, for me, is receiving the e-tickets. And welcome to AFF.

I don’t have a ticket. I assume ticket means an email from qantas?
Just a hotel discount voucher for having booked flights.
Yes Mwenenzi the flights are Qantas.

I don’t have a ticket ….
Without an e-ticket, you will not be boarding the flight.

When I book QF domestic on-line, the e-ticket comes through that day, usually within minutes.

Maybe it’s time for you to phone the Call Centre, and best not to raise Issues about charges, etc. Just request the e-tickets

Also, when you login to your QF account, you should be able to get a copy of the itinerary emailed to you, providing that the booking has been ticketed. It should send you the e-ticket details. Worth looking into.

Som
Call centre confirmed it’s not ticketed yet as the flight’s not until mid March. That seems weird to me given it was booked mid January.
Sometimes the Call Centre staff are useless and fob people off. For domestic, I don’t see why it didn’t ticket on the day of booking, unless there’s a ‘glitch’ somewhere, where it may remain in limbo unless there’s human intervention to fix up any glitch.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Had the same problem. Normally tickets come through straight away but when I booked during the 30% promotion for domestic flights, no tickets arrived, just a PNR and hotel promotion. Because I loathe calling Qantas, I let it sit and the e-tickets arrived without intervention this week. You will know as it will be an email with a PDF itinerary attached that includes ticket numbers. I wouldn’t waste your time with the QF call centre unless the tickets haven’t arrived a week before you travel.

I booked a reward return flight during the 30% off sale and received my e-ticket within minutes. Those domestic flights are in June.
And that’s exactly the way that it’s meant to work. I hope that things work out for the OP.
