I and 25 people will arrive in Bangkok Don Muaeng airport on the 26th of January. While checking the airport, it says the only way to get to central Bangkok would be by public bus, train or taxi for 350 BAHT!

So my questions are: Is there a skytrain station near DMK? Shuttle service? Should my hotel (Indra) have car service from DMK?

Mo Chit is not that far away but taxi for 26 people may defeat the purpose.

Shuttle service? Should my hotel (Indra) have car service from DMK?
Not sure many downtown Bangkok hotels would have shuttle service to/from DMK.

Have you tried looking for taxi or shuttle services on internet yourself? Some are reasonably priced unless you want to pay over the top for perceived luxury for such a short trip.

There isn't any shuttle service, I can take one of the public bus and train services but we have alot of luggage. How far is Mo Chit BTS from DMK? Is it possible to take a taxi there?

Mo Chit is not far. I think taxi fare is 60-100 baht + 50 baht surcharge for airport hire. With a lot of luggage you should be able to get 2-3 people per taxi but then you have the issue of short fare for the taxi driver and ensure they will do meter and not try and charge fixed fare which they used to do to me when I went from DMK (old BKK) to Qaulity Suites and was only a ~50-70 baht taxi fare.

Do I have it right that Indra is near Victory Monument? Won't require line change on BTS unless needing to get to Silom line.

Considering the limited choices I would take the taxi direct to Indra Regent hotel.

I would try and push for meter taxi and not fixed price. The taxi fare + tolls + 50 baht surcharge should not be more than 250-300 baht at that time of night.

But lets just say worse case scenario and they charge 350 baht fixed fare (~11AUD) and you need 9-10 taxis depending on what luggage would fit then that is not a bad result either and you do not need to worry about taxi to Mo Chit and then BTS to Indra Regent.

Tip re luggage in a meter taxi in Thailand. Get whatever you can in the boot and if still struggling then put in front seat and see if you can fit 3 people in back seat if you are not all extra large like me. Should only require 9 taxis if that is the case.

I will be going to Pattaya from BKK later in the year so was researching transport options.this was one that came up-
Bangkok airport limousine service to Hua Hin, Pattaya, Koh Chang, Ayutthaya, Rayong, Trat, Kanchanaburi, Chumphon, Cha-am, and many other locations in Thailand.
they quote a 6-8 person minibus as 1300B from DMK to downtown.A bit more expensive but seems much more convenient.

PS-I looked through the list i saved and noticed these people do private bus transfers from DMK to downtown.do not give prices though-

That is very expensive.

PM me closer to time and I will give you number of bloke I have been using for many years. It is only 1,200 baht including all tolls for private transfer car and most times to date have been really good cars.
