Over on the BA FT board it sounds like BA 872 arrived about 20 minutes before the blast with a BMI flight right behind it.

Not good and thoughts to all those caught up.

DME is a s**t of place at the best of times with SVO not much better. I know the arrivals hall there and it is always packed with hawking taxi drivers and the general detritus so typical of Russia.

AUSTRALIANS are being warned not to travel to Russia following a suicide bomb blast which left at least 35 dead.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) warned travellers of further terrorist attacks on its Smartraveller website, following the explosion at Domodedovo Airport.

“We advise you to exercise a high degree of caution in Russia because of the threat of terrorist activity, particularly by Chechen separatists, and the level of criminal activity,” the website says.

I liked the interview with my acquaintence Dimitri Medvedev that i heard on the radio-the translation went something like-we will track down all those behind this outrage and we will exterminate them just like those that organised the train bombing they will all soon be returned to dust.
Nothing like justice Russian style.
