Virgin chief swoops on Qantas executives

Interesting bits from the article:

Jane McKeon, general manager of government and international relations at Qantas for more than 10 years, left the airline yesterday. She will start at Virgin within months as Mr Borghetti pays special attention to beefing up the airline's government relations team.

You cannot stop staff from leaving, and wuold be hard to prove if they were poached as such.

He did stay out of the industry for quite a while so I think QF did as well as they could.

As nlagalle mentioned QF would have a hard time proving they were poached. Maybe they just wanted a change and as DJ is the other big airline it is a natural move for staff.

I am sure however if QF wanted them to stay bad enough they would have.
