I might not ignore someone wearing a Trump t-shirt.
But I'd definitely judge them for it.
Oh come on! The world is more interesting if everyone doesn't think the same :)
I also have a Hillary t-shirt.
And a Planned Parenthood hat

So I can play to any crowd...

If I were nasty, or concerned about declining standards of English, I would point out that this should be "fora" though "forums" is probably also an acceptable plural these days. But as I am a nice person I shall let it go. 🤣
Interesting thought. Very few people know Latin now, so I gave up on "fora" decades ago. but I must admit that "forums" still grates.

Latin. Certain clergy love it, however. 😀

There have been a few changes on this, with the "General Off Topic Discussion" and "Member Chit Chat" forums now no longer being visible to non-logged in users. There are also two new off topic forums that are visible to all, but will contain far less divisive posts. What hasn't changed though is that posts to this new category do not reflect in your post count.

I have to say the tone of a few threads us making AFF a less pleasurable pursuit at the moment. @support not sure whether the weekly newsletter could be used as a reminder for people to treat others with respect.

We shall discuss and consider our options, but if you see something that is divisive and not in the spirit of a thread or the rules, your best course of action is to report it and not respond to it.

I agree. I'm not sure if members have more time on their hands now during the holiday period or if its the bush fires prompting members to push their personal political agendas. Either way, it's pretty disappointing. :(

Historically, our moderation approach has been "Everything in moderation, including moderation". This has served us well over the years resulting in a (generally) friendly and diversive community. Looks like we are going to have to change this approach...
