I was on QF1837 this evening (PBO-PER) and it was diverted to LEA due to a mechanical issue. The issue was with a scheduled LEA-PER flight, not ours. Will I get FFPs and SCs for the flights I flew, ie PBO-LEA and LEA-PER or just PBO-PER? I'm hoping the former as a 16hr day the day before my 40th wasn't on the agenda!

Unless you scored a second flight number, you'll be out of luck with "automatically" receiving extra SCs/points.

You could always write to qf and request some form of compensation for the inconvenience. Asking for the extra sc's/ffp's might be possible.

Due to QF10 SIN-MEL being delayed 12 hours QF offered me QF52 SIN-BNE, followed by QF613 BNE-MEL. The QF10 had been booked into PE, but I got a points upgrade to J. I took QF52/613 in the end (in J).

52 and 613 registered in my QF account but both with zero points and SCs. I was unable to rectify anything online so rang QF and explained the situation, suggesting I get, at minimum, original routing credit.

A few hours later I had 52 and 613 on my activity statement both earning at PE, even though there is actually no PE on either flight (but neither had the squiggle, or tilde next to them). This resulted in 30 extra SCs and ~1500 extra FF points, but no 'eligible sectors'.

The next day, these were reversed and the original routing credit (QF10, PE) was credited to to my account (with tilde). So I ended up with ORC, and despite a bit of inconvenience I'm not unhappy with that.

So to be expecting any more than ORC might be optimistic, but never say never. :)

I checked in on my phone and had only one BP (PBO-PER) however those that checked in at the PBO counter got two BP's. However the numbering was the same, both were QF1837. Oh well it probably would've only been another 1000 FFPs and 10SCs but it would've made the 2 hr delay more palatable.
