Hi community, I wanted to share with you a recent experience on QF10 Dubai-Melbourne. I was sat next to a passenger in Dubai who had taken something medicinal (a doctor on board verified they had a prescription), along with potentially some alcohol and/or other substances, who proceeded to be extremely disruptive for the duration of the 15 hour flight. This included locking themselves in the toilet every 20 mins, waking those around them every time they had an outburst or walked the aisles, and basically being a total nuisance. It kept our section of Economy awake, delayed the food/beverage service, and made myself and my partner extremely uncomfortable being so close to them. The crew apologized to me and those around me on several occasions, yet as it was a full flight were unable to move them or me. Long story short, the longest leg of my journey and the one I intended to sleep through, became an episode of Survivor, Big Brother and Breaking Bad all rolled into one. Nothing like the end of a long needed holiday ending in chaos. And curiously, when we landed there was no one from either Qantas or the AFP to meet her, which I have witnessed on other occasions for what appeared to be more minor instances of disruption. It was memorable to be sure.

Welcome aboard 27mrpc27, I'm glad I haven't been in a similar situation and hopefully
I never will be.

Now it is over and done with I would put it behind me, some things are better off forgotten.

Hi 27mrpc27, that sounds like a shocker of a flight. I am surprised no one was there at the end given that the crew were trying to manage this passenger. Hopefully it won't deter you from travelling in future. Had a few awful flights in my time - the one that comes to mind at present was a LAN one from Quito to Santiago which seemed to be full of people on a work trip who had a party the whole time - leaning over seats, children swinging on the backs of seats, aisles full with people standing around with booze....and all in Spanish which made it a tad hard to work out what was going on. Made it (6 hours from when they boarded) and fell into the airport hotel to find they had no gin

Sounds like a trip from hell and a poor way to finish a holiday. I guess the person was disturbing but didnt do anything illegal as such?
