It's annoyed me for quite a while and now I finally remember to post this on the forum.
For my weekend away trips, I usually choose the late night flights flying into Tullamarine. I am talking about flights arriving at MEL domestic from about 10pm onwards. Every single time, whether I was flying Jetstar or Virgin Australia, after the plane has come to a complete stop at the parking bay, an announcement would be made in the cabin saying something like, 'The ground crew has advised that we will be disembarking from the front door only'.
My question is, is the ground crew too lazy to pull out the stairs for the rear door? Or is there some other reason?
