Who knew - there are pet ophthalmologists!

Bandit is 17yo standard issue cat with an entropian (bottom eyelid folds inwards) giving her goopy eye. Can do a surgery to try to fix the eyelid but it's a long one, no guarantee of success, and she's got a heart murmur so a bit of an anaesthetic rest. He thinks she's not actually in pain with it so we're going with keeping-an-eye (ha!) on it. If gets a corneal ulcer or something I think enucleation (removal of the eye altogether) will be next step. bandit.jpg

You can see she's clearly suffering as she sits on my freshly planted coriander *rolleyes* (totally enclosed yard - she's not a free roamer and is confined inside at dusk).

You'd be astounded at the number of cataract surgeries they do on dogs
