Discount Business Class 6 Passengers

im looking for 6 syd/mad in business..prefer emeirates, just wondering if anyone can suggest somewhere where prices may be more reasonable than say emirates website. Prices come in at around $41k. The same booking in reverse in euros works out to be $31k..big difference.
Any suggestions would be great.

Maybe see if some airlines have specials like buy 1 Business class ticket get 2nd half price.

Or talk to a TA and see what they can do.

Pricing could be very hard if you are only wanting to fly Emirates.

In December 2010, my daughter and I flew from Perth to Europe (into FCO and out of LHR). The best choice for us was QF(for me)/JQ(for her) to Singapore and then Emirates from Singapore to Europe. I can't fly at night so this combination was perfect. It was much cheaper to do it that way than flying all the way from Perth to Europe on Emirates. It would have been better still if we could have used FF points to get to SIN. From memory, PER to SIN on QF was $1200, then SIN to Europe was also $1200. Perth to Europe on Emirates was over $2900.

A colleague also flew to Europe in December 2011. She was able to book very late for around $1800, flying JQ to Jakarta then Etihad to LHR.

Maybe you could look at a similar combination.

I have been chasing the same thing for a few weeks !! I have challenged all the airlines on the reason for such a big difference in fares (same route same planes) guess what NO comments!!

The difference is quite normal and has been the subject of many discussions previously.

The difference is because the airlines are a business and they charge what the market can/will accommodate. The same applies out of the UK and the USA.

You don't mention when you are looking at travelling - I would suggest using a search engine like zuji or vayama for rough prices and then seeing if anyone can match or better them. If you are going on price alone, China Southern in Mid-may are $4880 per person, but it sounds like you've already decided that you want Emirates but don't like the price, in which case you'll either have to use one of the techniques described above or suck it in and pay up - sorry! There are no miracles discounts here, you have to work to make the most of your $$ or maximise miles and points

Seems i have been able to find 5+1 tix from bkk to madrid in business (mid june to 22nd july) for $20500...now i just need to get to bkk...where i can use points with say qantas and all up may cost me another 400k points + a few $k...

Perhaps it has already been covered here in another thread and if so apologies for repeating what may be know, but

There are 2 for 1 deals with Qantas from the Euro Zone to Australia. Doesn't help your exact situation, but if you believe you will be traveling again it may pay off to start in the reverse!

Pricing in Euro's starts at approx EUR 2200 in biz

How much do you want to pay per person?

If you were looking at paying 5K per person which is 30k worth of busines you can get on the phone and ring the airlines direct.

Ring emirates, if they do not want 30K worth of business ring QF, if they do not want it ring SQ etc etc.

Ive actually already booked
Ended up going with Thai SYD>MAD, ROME>SYD
5 Adults + 1 child for $33k...paid with amex too..
